Ice Cream Shop Part 1 SketchUp for Schools Tutorial
I love you man
Great video. Thank youu👌
Thank you!
Shout out to you, you’re helping me through my excel class
would the tires print and spin?
Mind if I ask: what platform/OS are you working on? Not familiar with the task bar at the bottom of the screen
chromebook
Importing a drawing or photo is very useful as a reference guide. What is missing from this demonstration is where the dimensions for the sketch 3 spline handles came from. It was as if you pulled them from thin air. It would be very helpful to understand how these dimensions were determined if important for the final result.
Yeah, same feeling here.
I put that info in the description. The instructions come directly from a self-paced course on Onshape's "Learning Center". You can search for it if you have access to it. I am using an education license so it may be something that isn't available for everyone. Hope this helps.
where is snap mode option ?
Thanks. My image comes into the sketch opaque. How to I make it transparent?
Ik these videos old n stuff but u really helping me out in this class idk if you’ll see this but thank you sir🫡
Thanks, I had never used "radius" as dimension before in Step 7!
Great lesson. Also in why you always should name your sketches, planes, parts with good names so you can easily find them later ;-) . Thanks. Enjoyed it.
Excellent, what an underrated channel. Thank so much. This was so helpful and so much better to understand than all "hyper speed" channels.
bro was going thru a whole hurricane in the background
Great vid thnk 4 the tip
Between 22:55 and 22:58 suddenly the size of 10 was added at the bottom. Also vertical 20mm at the right. from the (central point of the scene). Not sure though. Just learning.
How to draw archimedes screw in sketchup 8. Please make a video. Thanks ❤
I am using Sketchup for Schools. If you have access to the actual sketchup app you should look for how to make a "helix" in sketchup. This is not possible in the basic "for school" version.
Oh how satisfying it was to do that just now. This is what I needed to do for a part I have!
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
This was such an easy tutorial to understand, however on 3D printing, there is no tolerance and the bolt does not fit into the nut. What settings can I change to account for that? I've read that .4mm is a good distance between threads planes
thanks so much, its really helpful
I love you bro
Just gone through this one myself. I thought it went splendidly until the self check where my calculated volume was slightly off. I found this video trying to search to see if someone else had this issue. I can't for the life of me see where I deviated from the instructions.
Thank you so much!
Thank you! This absolutely saved my IB Design tech coursework! Modeled a different ergonomic handle using this guidance and it helped so so much.
The selection of that line, made up of 3 parts, had me stumped. Thanks for explaining. I know somewhere in the onshape tutorials that would have been shown but, learning so much you kind of forget bits here and there. Lets continue....
Hi. In one video, one person was working in photoshop and then, when he went to the gallery filter, there was an upload texture button, but I'm working with photopea and it's not there, where can I find it?? Please, help me)
Awesome, exactly what I needed. Thank you!
I am on assembly stage of my project, thank you for this video. It helps me a lot.
I have no idea why you have no comments. So here one from me. Thanks a lot it was very clear and helpful.
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for posting this, very helpful. 👍👍
Thank you. It was quick and helpful.
nice one mate, thank you.
will you make some stuff from scratch to follow along?
This technique fails for me when attempting to use a guide to adjust the fill and form the "bowl" part of the spoon. I can get close if I select Samples, but I then get a super lumpy handle.
Omg thank you so much 🎉
Superb, outstanding, excellent video with lots of new features taught. One small point: At the end, the nut appears to rotate opposite the thread direction. This should resolve by setting in the Screw Relation, but it appears AFTER the cylindrical mate (and its animation) in the feature tree. Thank you very much.
That was a big mistake...I didn't realize the rotation error until I had posted the video and I wasn't going to redo the whole thing to correct it...now I wish I had. Glad you noticed and have posted how to correct the mistake for others who have found it! Thanks
Excellent video, but the question is what to do about the scalloped handle? Thank you for a great lesson and exercise.
Superb video. I've looked for Boolean Intersect like the Holy Grail. Please welcome a new subscriber. Thank you.
Thanks for the sub!
Thank you!
😊 "PromoSM"
Thanks for this! It helped a lot! I have to make a presentation for my class about SketchUp & 3D printing, but I didn't know anything regarding SketchUp! :D
i love you bro
Or could you please reach out to me an send me this document.
Could you post a link for us to download the document?
When I add a circle it is NOT attached to the face upon which I drew it. How can it be attached? The circle is still loose.
I succeeded! I forgot the blue centerline (arrow up)
Crazy
You could select the white background with the Magic Wand tool and delete it. Sometimes, it is easier to select what you want to delete, rather than what you want to keep.
Enjoying the video; however, I am at a loss to the reasons behind the steps (I can follow along but I am just acting as a robot and not grasping when and why I would do this). Can you recommend a goods fundamentals course (my goal is to take a 2d drawing, say of a animal and then convert it into a 3d model [rather than a 2.5D where I just apply extrusions])
This is a struggle I continue to have with my students. You are not alone in feeling like you are just following a bunch of steps but not understanding why. I am going to try to do more explaining in my future videos. Drawing organic shapes is very difficult and requires the most advanced methods and tools. Hang in there and keep learning!!
Thank you sir you are a life saver
