@@cookiepuss8182 both are great. Vortex can proc consistent ignitions for a single ammo if you spam uncharged Heavy attacks. Caster is superior at range, with charged heavy attacks. Or, can be used as a swap/withehoard type of weapon in rotations.

Caster Perfect 5th is way ahead in the amount of damage it does from every other ergo sum type. You will not be disappointed once you have one.

@iESCAP1SM didn't notice the song of flame interaction I used it since Tuesday. Regarding the caster frame it's very inconsistent on the heavy attack

@@DudditsII that’s good to hear. I don’t main warlock any longer so I can’t verify myself. What I heard was that the inherent burn while swinging during SoF overwrote Perfect fifth or some such, reducing overall dps. 🤔 Nah mate not caster. Vortex. Uncharged vortex has several damage instances, while uncharged caster only has a single damage instance. Both have their uses. But uncharged vortex only drains a single ammo, so while the hits are weak the rapid ignitions more than make up for it. Ps I nerd out hard over Ergo Sum. Sorry 🤷‍♂️

@@iESCAP1SMwould this happen to be the case on Solar SoF or Prismatic SoF? I don’t crunch any numbers whatsoever but when I was using Caster Fifth on Song of Prism (WITH Transcendence active) everything was just going boom so numbers didn’t even exist to me 😭

These are the posts where you go look at their GM report and they have 2 clears and they boot you. Meanwhile me over here #170 in the world for GM clears this season just looking to have fun with some new builds.

@nehemiahwright3799 the class item roll is great. Calibans normal exotic is great for low level things this gets better the harder the enemy. I prefer this one

@Beast-mf7br skyburners or prometheus lens are better for this as they apply direct scorch. Polaris needs to be 5 hits

@@Beast-mf7br the problem is that there are too many close quarters GMs this season as of right now, so polaris isn't a great choice by design

Yeah. What warlock exotic works best for the chain ignition?

@@justyouraveragegamer1782 literally anything. Dawn chorus is busted here, sunbracers makes tons of ignitions, hell even starfire with double fusion nades causes ignition. And not to mention song of flame is the most overpowered roaming super in the entire game now for pve which is a walking god mode

I run a Claws of Ahamkara build. Using Heat rises and Ember of Searing, melee incinerator snaps come back within a few kills. Hellion helps also.

​@justyouraveragegamer1782 best is def Dawn chorus. I run it with dragons breath and the new solar super. Every other ignition is another dragon shot.

Tbh i wouldnt want to run dawn chorus cause everything ignites instantly anyways and dawn chorus doesnz actually buff ignition damage afaik it only effects the scorch tick

Trust me give this a try, dragons breath stareaters and deadshot golden gun, thosr ignitions from your knives and dragons breath on a boss will give you like 12+ goldie shots

@bplynch834 I got 2 red borders by focusing weapons in general at failsafe, and the other 3, I used the harmonic things from the season pass to make them red borders. I focused like 25 or so guns just to get the 5 pistols. It was just luck mostly

Focusing is time gated not the weapon

I got couple red borders during story missions and then used 3 harmonizers to complete the crafting. Heal clip/ incandescent rocks. Loving it

They need to increase that duration man ..
