I thought I found lightning in a bottle when I found another channel doing incredibly detailed but simple tutorials for a few Elliott songs but this is great. A handful of resources will show the notes and chords but I love that you really display good right hand technique, especially after watching your few videos about that. I'd love if you'd consider posting more of at least playing some of his songs with your fretboard in frame or slowed down so you don't need to do a whole tutorial but at least gives a reference to learn from. I think just watching the other videos though makes me more confident in figuring out parts myself. Anyways good stuff!

Have you ever heard of Will Paquin cause you sound awfully similar with the ways you two sing and now that I've made the connection it's a little hard to un-hear. 😅

Can you do a tutorial on you make it seem like nothing? I have the intro chords decently but the verse confuses me

I'm a huge John Mayer fan right, And I spent 5 or 6 months learning how to do the (stop this train, and who says) strumming pattern that kind of sounds like a train. I just watched this and picked it up in like 4 minutes😭 then again it's literally the same thing without the slap

Are you palm muting at all?

How are you getting the downstrokes to sound like that using only your thumb? It sounds amazing. When I do it, I hit the note so hard that ends up buzzing like hell and going out tune

what exact guage, type and make strings are you using? love em, ive got a fg180 but trying diff strings atm.

You did the most simple but best video I seen trying to figure out Elliott Smiths…magic like slight of the hand. I’ll literally watch him play a song live that I can finger pick very well but it’s that sleight of hand that even zoomed in I’m like…”Alright…I’m over here trying to be articulate as possible with a surgeons wrist and he just made it look like…nothing (punny).

Are you playing standard tuning on No Name #3? And are you starting with your index and pinky on 3rd and 7th Frets on High & Low E strings for the first chord?

Do you keep your nails pretty short to make it easier to strike with the fleshy part? The look pretty long from the video, I feel like I can hear a tiny bit of nail but it's super soft. Heaps thinks for this - it sounds great the way you're playing it

I am also a musician based in Brooklyn so it was cool to find that out about whoever you are. Great discovery session!!!!!! This is how you teach. I heae a lot of Arlo Guthrie in your picking and strumming. Check out Arlo Guthrie songs. You will dig him. You would be a great guitar teacher just doing this with students
