I bought the same but the manual says you should place the scanner against the wall when calibrating. Do you know if thats correct? Because I see you calibrated it away from the wall..

@@ChristianoRonaldoinho he means that he will just use magnets to pick up metal. Which is kind of dumb because if the metal is shielded enough then you wont feel anything on the magnet.

I'm a bit confused with pressing the button. You press it once at the start. Then are you holding down the button while moving it along the wall? I can't see this clearly.
Yes you should hold it down after that. I have the same stud detector
@fightermma My instructions (my finder looks different but I've been reliably informed the same principles apply) said to calibrate you need to press and hold the button, not just 1 press like in the video. It also doesn't say you have to continue to hold the button down when scanning, so i haven't been. Maybe that's why it doesn't seem to be working if you're supposed to (although it's not clear in this video if they're doing that).
