Based on these comments, it's clear that there is still a demand for a smooth jazz station. My preference would be for a retro one, as smooth jazz was at its height in the 1980s. Who's with me??

I cry when I listen to this. I miss the old jazz stations we used to have but now it's all junk. Sad 😔

WNUA is the best radio station of its kind. I was a loyal listener. Listening to the jazz, played on the radio, brings back good memories.

I used to so look forward to listening to WNUA on Christmas Eve while I did my Christmas cooking and baking. I really miss that. This is great.

I was born on 12/23/1991 and brought home from the hospital Christmas Eve. My parents videotaped my first night at the house and you can hear Christmas music on 95.5 playing in the background. This is absolutely remarkable. Amazing quality. Brings back memories hearing 95.5 during car rides home from family Christmas parties as well. Thank you Joseph. Have a very Merry Christmas!

I loved that station with a passion growing up.

I would love to start a petition to bring this station back on the airwaves here in Chicago. All we have now for choice of music is rock, country, pop, and rap. Where’s the smooth jazz here? 95.5 is just a lame rock station. We already have enough of that. Let’s bring 95.5 back to its original format, and put an end to this junk music. Who’s with me on this?

WNUA is the greatest jazz station in the history of radio. I MISS it so much!!! I hated when they stopped it. Now I currently live ATL Georgia. Early in the morning when I'm on my way to work I have to listen to gospel before jazz starts I hate it!!!

I find this video inexplicably comforting. Don't know if it's the kindly grandpa vibe the guy has, the exposed brick and turned wood chair, or looking back at a time when the internet didn't bring the world to you 24/7, you had to play intrepid armchair explorer and go find the world yourself.

We started out with Kilz primer (water-based)-- this is what you see in the video. The final coat (which we didn't record :) was Benjamin Moore Regal interior. We did two coats of the final paint and 2 years later it still looks wonderful: no peeling, cracking, or anything, and we use the fireplace in the winter, so it's not sitting there idle. I added a link to the before-and-after photos in the description of the video. Good luck!!
