wow, have you done any mods to your turbos? they sound wicked spooling up. can't hear mine at all...
@@AB_159 nope it’s just the catless downpipes that allow you to hear the spool now.

Sound and performance-wise, how does it compare to the 550 you had/have? I mean personal opinion The 540 sounds sick, but imho v8 is v8 - no replacement for displacement 💪
@@starky94 I would take the v8 any day over the 540i. I just got a 23 X5 M50i I’ll have lots of videos of it up soon.

did you do bearings? I want to mod mine so bad but I wonder if I should do bearings first. This car has been babied from what I had been informed of, though I am at 97k miles.
King's sputter bearings, part#: CR222GPC This set is as close as you can get to mimic the B58 rod bearings. B58 rod bearings has the "irox" orange coating on the thrust side. The King's sputter bearings have similar coat, and it's on both sides. Make sure you know what bearing clearance you end up with. On bearing gap less than two-thou (not recommended on aftermarket and modified setup), you can use 20 viscosity oil, between 2-3-thou, you can use 30 vis oil. You shouldn't let your clearance go beyond 3.5-thou unless you're doing extreme drag race with it, and beyond 3-thou, you should use 40-vis oil. Just my very own recommendations. OEM bearings are dialed in at 0.00135-0.00150" range when new. That's very tight and easy to overheat in absence of oil film. That's also why we easily catch spun rod bearing issues. Oil starvation is the main cause, but it's also that tight clearance that helped speed the failure up when the oil film is absent.

My changes to the look of yours but red when i press the sport button, but i wish to look like yours when im in comfort mode. Please let me know if there is a way to code that on bimmercode. u need use sport Individual and change the engine, Transmission and steering to comfort… this will give u the cool dash but in comfort mode

@@LaQuica-ks8rf once you have DPs, you get all the turbo spool. Mine is DPs, no secondaries, no res, x-pipe, into OEM M5 mufflers. I get insane turbo spool
@@AYO_KO Does it shake a lot with the straight pipe? Because mine shakes the whole car like crazy but it also needs a new engine which im buying. Also is the drone bad? Im wondering if i should get a catback exhaust or just keep the straight pipe
@@jayy7712 if you’re truly straight piped then that means you’re Catless with no secondaries, no res, no mufflers. You’re getting drone bc you have no mufflers. I have mufflers and can completely control the valves to open 100% via bimmer link. When they’re open, the car drones a little, shakes much more, and is crazy loud. But once I close em, it’s completely manageable but still really loud.
I have a gt350, and I think this is even louder on cold start 🤣
