This fight is longer if u only focus on main story, else its shorter- cause u did all the side quest and have better armor and all. Kratos changed Thor's mind, wonder how they would have been if he was alive.

Kratos really needs to work on his footing. Half the time he only gets knocked over cos he doesn't have proper footing

It’s obvious that Heimdal has to die but he tries not to kill him even Mimir wants to stop Kratos because he knows he doesn’t want to be a killer any more. Little do they know thats the point, that’s Kratos’ redemption. He isn’t killing for himself anymore he isn’t killing because he wants to, not because it’s easy but because it’s what other people needed to be safe. Kratos put them before not just himself but even his own idea of what his redemption should be. He was willing to sacrifice his soul in order to protect others and despite knowing it was necessary still hates himself for doing it. Really nice character work

I like that when he dies, they do not play kratos’ theme. It’s not a triumphant moment, he got what he deserved and that’s it, no joy, no prizes, not even relief. Every single feeling in this is fight is sorrow.

Many miss it, but initially he: 1. misses all his hits 2. Lands second to last one but is blocked, so final hit misses 3. Baits heimdall by doing 2 again, but INSTEAD, he grabs heimdall when he blocks the second to last hit, allowing his final hit to hit this time. He allows heimdalls own arrogance to lead him to defeat.
