thanks this was really useful!
Is the PPL course only for undergrad or is it also available for master's or PHD?
Is Oxford the only uni that offers a PPL course?
@oxfordfromtheinside3680
have you taken a master course?
❤❤❤
did she not have to take the tsa
Thankk you so much for this video, appreciate it so much :)
Thank you so much I guys. I really enjoy this 33 minutes talk!
This was very helpful! Would Andrew be happy to share his personal statement as a .pdf?
Depends on degree. Maths is super curricular about mathematics etc. Economics and engineering etc like business ventures, sports etc as real world that may aid their development
If she says ''kind of'' one more time, I'll kill myself.
What a levels did you both do?
'promo sm'
Could you give me your email id for personal statement review
Would be amazing to get more of these interview videos with tutors, they're super helpful!!
Do you think Mgmt is the Cheese amidsdt 2 breads and vice versa,it's really true but of diff taste, let's see which one is better in taste?
It just feels surreal to hear the words from you all. Really enjoyed the whole session. Keep up the noble work!
Thank you so much!
Hi! I have a question: Is it okay to visit other colleges other than your own?
And personally they would have to build colleges at Oxford University make it in even bigger campus for a student that wants to go to Oxford University. That’s maybe in the wheelchair because you wouldn’t want to stress of having to figure out all that information before you start your law degree or medical degree at Oxford University
PPE is like an incomplete Political science degree with little bit economics and little bit philosophy. It is designed for someone who cannot do too much math in economics and cannot analyze too much attract ideas in philosophy.
this was so valuable, thank you very much.
this is really useful! thank you so much :)
glad we could help! :)
Oxford profs don't like to read your PS. In fact they felt it a time wasting task. Anyway that's the feedback I got.
Hi! Oxford professors are usually interested in finding out about potential applicants, so they will definitely look at personal statements, though these only form part of the application process! :)
Useful and interesting, thank u
Thankyou for this video! It was super helpful. Do you have any recommendations for books relating to biomedicine that you really enjoyed?
this was really helpful, thank you all so much x
THIS INTERVIEW IS A DISASTER BECAUSE THE INTERVIEWEE SEEMS TO NOT LOVE THE SUBJECTS AND ONLY CHOSE THIS COURSE AND UNI FOR PRESTIGE. IF SHE ONLY CARES ABOUT ACCOUNTANCY AND FINANCE WHY CHOSE THIS COURSE
level 100 hating?
I was caught in-between which to go to for said subject, this has been most enlightening. Much respect!
Amazing content!
I really enjoyed this ❤
Thanks so much for this!
this is so helpful thanks a lot
I am going into year 12 and hoping to go to Oxford in a couple of years and this is incredibly useful as someone with asd. I like to plan ahead and know what is going on.
Seriously helpful stuff!! I'm trying to write my Personal Statement now and this is unbelievable useful. Thanks!
Did u get in?!
Hey, I’m applying for ppl and if I get in I was hoping to do all three eventually. Which colleges allow you to take all three?
If taking a gap year. Would an data science internship and a level further maths be a productive use of my time considering I’m applying for the maths cs join honours
Oxford is so expensive to rent is greedy letting estate agents.
Clare that was great 😇
👏 𝐩яⓞ𝓂𝓞Ş𝐦
I will be going to Oxford Brookes this September. The video was helpfull Thank you 😊
Hello! So from the video, i think it’s safe to say that it’s okay cover a variety of topics in your ps rather than delving into 1 or 2 topics ? Please correct me if I’m wrong ! A
Hi! It's definitely ok to cover multiple topics in your personal statement but just make sure you have enough space to talk about some in depth. The tutors want to see your though processes, so it's probably not helpful to just list 20 topics. Sorry, we can't give more specific advice as every personal statement is individual! Hope this helps :)
As someone who was given an open offer to study this course at Oxford, thanks for this, I think it will be helpful to know the perspective of someone who's been through it
Thank you for your comment! Glad you found it helpful :)
I got an offer! This video really helped me and definitely put my mind at ease before the interview process (I was completely stressed out!) Can't wait to be there!! (Obviously working hard for the offer now though!)
How is it? Did you get in?
This is a very informative and honest video. Thanks for sharing. May I ask about programming for the Physics undergraduate degree? Which among the programming languages would be most useful? Python, Java, C++, and so on. If I were to pick one or two to self-train on, which ones would they be?
Hi @6700rpm, it's probably a very late response, but Python is more useful than Java or C++ - at least for the Oxford MPhys/BA course. This is because we use mostly Python and MATLAB in our course. I further believe that because Python is more "high-level" code it teaches you data analysis concepts and logical flows better.
How the hell is she 'South Asian' ? She is from Surrey in England she said right?? So she is British-Asian. Stop using broader racial identity to representing a specific ethnicity. A South Asian is one who is from South Asia such as India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Afghanistan so on. And looking at the Oxford's statistics they don't have a greater representation from South Asian region as compare to Cambridge. That's why lots of brilliant international students including from South Asia prefer Cambridge University and progress to become Nobel laureates, scientists, academics, entrepreneurs etc. Oxford is a Racist University!
This video was os useful! Do you think it would be hard to apply for biochemistry and another course? Will it make your personal statement weaker if you don't just talk about biochem? (I want to apply for natural sciences as well)
Very helpful, thanks!
Thank you for the feedback! Glad you found it helpful :)
What was the test like pre-interview? What kind of questions could come up?
Great question! The questions asked can very between colleges, but they could include some maths/calculations, some short answer questions about your subject, or longer, discussion questions to get you thinking. :)
