Once Upon A Time in Concubine Lane
Over a century ago, Concubine Lane was bustling with activities of various sorts.
Did you know that the First Anti-Opium Conference was held in the vicinity of Concubine Lane in 1907, attended by nearly 3000 members from all over Malaya.
The anti-opium movement in Federated Malay States played an important role in influencing the British government to change its view and policies on trade and smoking opium habit.
