Framing - Part 7: Dormer and Prep Work for Roof
This is the most exciting part of the build for us - the completion of the framing for the house. Due to the changes in the design it took longer than it should. It supposed to be 2-3 weeks :) But we are very happy with the results. It was worth the wait!
Thanks to everyone involved!

Framing - Part 6: Timber Frame Porches
Просмотров 410День назад
The installation of the timber frame porches went quite smoothly. It took one day to lift them up with the boom truck and install them in place. What a change to house curb appeal! These two porches quite easily converted a simple rectangular house into a quite interesting house. It looks huge now (not that we wanted to have a big one, but it is what it is :)). We want to thank our crew and our...
Framing - Part 5: Preparation work for the Front and Back Porches installation
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.14 дней назад
We wanted to have custom timber frame porches at the front and at the back of our house to make it a bit more interesting (not just a rectangle with door and window openings). At a construction fair we found a very talented local professional, who specializes in timber frame constructions and he designed these beautiful porches for us. They look even better then we hoped for! :)
Framing - Part 4: Gable Walls Installation and Delivery of European Style Tilt and Turn Windows.

The framing is progressing further and we're at the point of gable walls installation and wrapping all exterior walls with WRBs. Another exciting milestone - a delivery of European style tilt and turn windows. That was quite an adventure on its own. The windows are 3-ply Gealan tilt and turn and they weight a lot! Each of two crates of wonderfully packed windows weighted around 2,000 pounds and...

At this video we cover 5 first days of framing, stay tuned for more exciting footage in the next videos! Have a great day!

Grading with box blade? KIOTI CK2620

Radiant Heating: Tubing and Insulation Installation. HEAT SHEET

In this video we show how we installed heat sheet insulation and radiant heat tubing under the concrete slab. This was the first time we ever installed something like this and prior to do so, we have researched quite a lot of different methods of radiant heat flooring and have decided that this one should work for us, especially taking into consideration the ease of installation by ourselves.

Looks like you have that same hose mess scraping and putting pressure on the windshield that my new one has. A little dust on the sheath and scratches will form in that area. Kioti hose management sucks and that's how they say it should be. Wish I had noticed that before taking delivery. Otherwise mine is a good tractor.

Not sure I am following you. All the hoses are a couple of inches off the windshield, the only one that might be touching it is one of the third function hose. But I think I can tighten it up so it won't touch the windshield. I might show it one day. 🤞
