That turn was definitely a mistake on my part there. I wasn't considering playing it before the reaction step and I just missed it. 100% should have been playing during the instant phase before reactions to ensure the best outcome.

On turn 3 u could pitched to AB when he played sigil of suffering then Star Fall. This is probably wrong, but would keeped both CLV to a potencial 6 card hand on next turn

Definitely a line we could have taken but I do think that playing to keep the CLV around again leaves them with too many cards and puts us in a bad spot.

Your line gives us a better shot at drawing a card off of CLV. With them at 3 I wanted to push as much damage as possible. Plus my line lets me keep CLV for another turn, just in case.

It would have been 1 point of Arc Lightning damage only. We could not play the Lightning Press or Somersaults in our hand. We could have used Greaves for 1 extra arcane with Blink.

I was originally on Flicker Wisp but after testing decided it wasn't needed. Victor is winnable as is, hard matchup but winnable.

I still think it’s correct to arsenal the Lightning Surge even tho if he we know they have the CnC. I have crown available and still have access to a 5 card hand with CLV out.

How is a 3 card hand + 5 card hand without arc lightning better than a 4 + 4 if a 5 card hand has a higher risk of being bricked?

I’m not exactly following your question with the plus signs here. If I throw Lightning Surge on the previous turn, it’s worth 4. If I arsenal it, I give myself a higher ceiling/better chance at a consistent hand with a 5th card. Which sets me up in a better spot to draw a new card off CLV on the next turn. If you are looking at my next hand I drew and considering how it played out, then I think you are looking at this equation wrong. You have to consider how a 5 card hand can help me and now how it did. I will always take the play with Crown there to try and set up a better CLV turn. I hope my explanation makes sense 🙂 I know stuff can lost through text sometimes.

I hear what you are saying but, generally it is hard for your opponent to block and still throw heavy damage at you. I think red Arcane Cussing is a very highly picked card in draft.

I definitely got blinded by the Crush Confidence text. I could have won with your line or going for a small combo after blocking anyways. I botched this one up good.

Same line also had pop two pots recure rampant growth with hat to amp 11 shoot staff for 12 and then spell from arsenal with tunic counter for 14 assuming they ab 2 the first staff. Total 22 damage through the ab

Playing the third potion was absolutely better there. Tunnel vision got me on the Felling of the Crown.

Gaining life was fine. But shouldn't have tried to deal arcane with Verdance ability, because all of the amp went onto that source of arcane.

Brad is correct here. Gaining the life is okay but I should have chosen to decline the trigger from Verdance. It would have attacked the damage on my Mind Warp and been way better. Good catch guys!

@@AggroBlaze96 If you had another rampart growth in grave the correct play was to hold priority after the first one's gain life resolved, activate evergereeen as instant, take second one, play it as instant, gain life and ping, and then the 2 second parts will resolve amping for max each

Verdance definitely gives off some weird vibes with using attacks, but I think it makes her playstyle very fun and interesting!

I was pretty surprised to see my opponent block with 2 of them as well. Seems like a subpar block.

@@slotholopolis2314 so taking 5 to keep 2 ritls in hand and shoot non dominated for 8 is the play? The aurora has 7 armor, if you give up the ritls early for armor then you can't knock any, you have to block damage that turn. So you can take 5 to throw MAYBE 8 damage ritl, or 11 with no arsenal to keep 1 in deck to make knock the deathwhistle a live card, or you can block out the turn to put a ritl back in your deck and 2 in your GY for codex and have knock still be a live card for ritl. But talking hyperbole is really cool, lots of insightful tips, thank you for that :)

Yeah, that would have been a good hand for sure. I want sure how the interaction with Battering Bolt and me technically having an instant with Shock works out.
