My mp-240’s sound great. The mids are a bit scooped but I like it that way.

It seems to me that the Nt1a has a greater dynamic range. That is, it can withstand greater acoustic pressure without overloading its preamp.

NT-1 is a really, really good microphone, but building a USB interface with no latency free monitoring is a big fail. Antelope Axino has done it, also with a lot of effects (otherwise, Antelope have software developing dilettants on start and the product is not stable, so I would never recommend it for professional use).

Did you used an audio interface or just plugged the usb in the pc?

Mackie TRASH! Purchased these POS in July of 22, DJ'd 1 party out went the highs. They went in for repair and back in the shop again in December 2022. Now I only use these at home while spinning and now both woofers are blown. Warranty is out & $800 speakers are going into the trash! Mackie these are pure TRASH!

I've had mine for three years. I love it. However, my first mic imput is slightly out of whack (still works though) so don't be too aggressive plugging in. Only in the last year did I get sloppy at one point and shoved it in harder than I should have.

For recording vocals, what is the sequence of steps that you recommend to make the voice sound better? For example, for the following, what should the proper order be? EQ, Normalize, removing noise, compress. 🙂

Nice review brother. I found out that I HAVE to use the Hi Z feature whenever I use my guitar, or the output signal to my DAW Is way too low. I hope that’s a normal for this unit..it’s sounds great but that’s a feature I never had in any of my other interfaces.

Looking at Mackie speakers now. But not sure if i will go for this one ore the Mackie DRM. Who of the two models are best ? I see they write that the DRM is the flag ship speaker of Mackie. Thoughts SRM-V vs DRM ?

Wonderful microphone. As I can see you are using it with USB C …… I recorded an opera singer and the record turned really good…

I just got one of these a few days ago. Using it on Windows 11, the sound keeps dropping.. it freezes up my entire computer while it doesn't respond. Can't even playback music from spotify. Contacted their tech support.. they offered up some beta driver from 2019.. it's 2023.. the beta driver didn't solve the issue. Returning it. What a waste of time. Focusrite is arriving tomorrow. I guess if that has the same problem then it's not the devices .

I wouldn't trust a product without standard 5 years guarantee for all components, without any catches. Too many products have redundancies built into chips and processors, around 2 and 3 years, to force repair or replacement for profit.

Great vid! How did you get the 5th gen to fit into that shock mount? The 4th gen comes with the metal screw that goes onto the bottome of the mic allowing it to attatch to that shock mount in the vid, but the 5th gen did not come with one, it didn't need it for the shockmount that came in the box.
