SRS ASSIST RESISTANCE EMULATOR PLUS FOR AIRBAG DEVICES
Basic overview of the srs assist device, see it in use, this device was designed by us to make life easier for you, it will save you time and money Choosing the correct bypass resistor. A MUST HAVE for all Garages / Auto workshops & Auto electricians WORLDWIDE.
Srs assist was specifically designed an Airbag / srs diagnostic aid, but has also proven very helpful in other vehicle diagnostic procedures.
when using srs assist in conjunction with a diagnostic scanner that has live data capability you will be able to see the measurements vary as you turn the resistance UP or DOWN on the srs assist device, this confirms the ecu is reading the data and the wiring is ok.
Any questions or comments ple...

Lovely build sir.nice one
Why not just buy a bag of 100 mixed resistors on ebay for £3.50 and just keep going up in value untill the money light goes out?
Hi there, is It possible to code the drivers seatbelt to the car while SRS assist is correctly in place ? Cheers.

I’d suggest you look up the resistance required in advance from factory manual /auto data or whatever because as you mentioned some cars would need the code cleared with a scanner which means going through the full range of your switch would do sweet F.A.unless you had the scanner to hand and checked for codes at each resistance position.. Just a thought........
Most vehicles do a self test everyone you cycle the ignition but some vehicles may need the SRS ECU fault codes cleared depending if the fault has been in the ECU over a long period of key cycles..
Can this be used to test crash sensors to understand if the sensor has been damaged or not?
Did you find a way of testing crash sensors?
@@ricardolevy885 yeah, multimeter. if it has resistance, it's ok, if OL is bad. unplug the sensor from the circuit first, you don't wanna short it
I've got three wires on my bravo system ! What part of the plug shall I contact ?
you need an emulator, as all the new cars need, its not the case of the resistance anymore
Life-saver. Err...
Zero ohms usually refers to being short circuit, not open circuit (said in the video). Open circuit usually mean infinity ohms.
Yes you are correct my mistake, it simulates short Circuit.
Open circuit is correct term, short is not
Open circuit means high resistance.
azhar sheikh open circuit means no resistance
isn't this a potentiometer
No.... a potentiometer would give a slowly increasing variable resistance, as the control is turned (Like a volume control on a radio). A multi position rotary switch is used here. Each click of the switch, connects a different fixed value (size) resistor.
This is not a potentiometer it has a 12 position rotary switch that clicks into the selected chosen resistance with fixed resistors for more accuracy.
If you have more than one fault you will have to use the emulator in conjunction with a compatable diagnostic scanner and work through the faults one at a time..
hi, if i have problem in two airbag, what can i do? it is de same procedur?
Same procedure, you just have to work through all the faults one at a time, you do this by using the emulator in conjunction with compatible diagnostic equipment.
how I get the tool
