At what age do you wean?

I worked for a pig barn in Saskatchewan called polar pork Carlton trail for almost two years and protocols were being broken on a daily basis, the worst thing is that the company is protected with their own regulations and protocols etc and basically can’t be touched when they terminate employees without cause paid in lou, this is what they do when you go against illegal practices and procedures within their barn and keep the ones who are to scared of being fired or loosing their jobs or being punished or targeted etc, I got terminated due to retaliation because I spoke up against things that were illegal and wrong and lots of other employees also, veterinarians and other higher authorities are on their payroll and they let things slide and I’ve seen it first hand which is ridiculous, don’t let these companies fool you and I’m not saying all pork industries are the same but the employees need to be protected a hell of a lot more against these corrupt employers and owners then they are now!

Therefore, any pigs that are not confined are wild pigs.

I think if the challenge of piglets not gaining enough weight with their peers is 'quickly detected' in their early life, calculated actions can be 'immediately taken' through the use of precision feeding and adequate hormones, to salvage the situation to ensure that this does not affect them later in life, and even if it does, the effect becomes highly insignificant.
