    I have Cerebral Palsy and I'm going through a situation where I could use some guidance and someone to talk to. I filed a HUD complaint against my apartments and won. Now, I'm facing homelessness out of retaliation. I've been just about everywhere trying everything to get the help I need in time. I need to be out by 10/7/24 I'm not asking for money. Maybe just some direction where to go for legal help. There's a lot more... A LOT more to my situation and I'm trying to avoid being homeless. Especially when I know I've been targeted and exploited. I need my story heard. Im in Harrisburg Pennsylvania Thanks!

    I specifically requested a ground-level unit before my relocation. I was informed that only affordable units are available on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Considering this, do I have legal grounds to initiate legal proceedings against the responsible party?

    I live in an apartment complex. I moved in, being able to park by my apartment. Recently, they made changes to the road and parking. I asked for a handicap spot since now my prior parking is not accessible for me.. They flat out said No, that they don't do anything for handicap. 😞 This is a hud complex. I feel discriminated against for this and other reasons. I feel this was purposely done. I have to walk up two hills without railing to my vehicle and two hills back down to my apartment. I can not carry groceries, etc. I feel broken and stay in pain just getting to my car and back. I pay rent, and they will not accommodate any of my requests knowing I'm disabled. I ask for basic accommodations, nothing special, but they are so dismissive with me.. I'm considered a perfect tenant. I pay my rent and stay to myself. They are heartless.

    This guy just lists a whole bunch of "modifications" as if they are trivial. Removing cabinets? Ripping out walls and re-routing wiring to change the position of switches? Ramps? All these things could potentially cost many thousands of dollars. Who pays? Certainly not him.

    I am in court alone with my landlord now at housing court and I told the Judge in April that my landlord filed an illegal summons and she said to make it part of my case as someone filed to make it a jury trial and I read to file a motion but, now my landlord filed his whole eviction all over again and this Judge also did something else I know that this housing has also blocked my rights in court too long story but, the judge is bias

    I moved to green valley for a fresh start and Aubrey was in contact with my abusive rapist adopted family and the sexual violence tords me continued I was raped for over 20 years at 553 North Dijon ct and raped for another 2+ years at 855 west placita el cauce Rico by Aubrey and his meth dealing friends who attacked me with syringes and sexually exploited and assaulted me the same way my adopted family and other strangers did the worse part is the rapists forced me to have a lot of kids and they are probably drugging and sexually abusing them as well My adopted family made multiple murder attempts tords me before I was 10 they hired someone to shoot our suv they tried killing me with excessive adult amounts of lethal medication and they threw me under the horses when I was 1 and broke all my bones and covered it up they refused X-rays and had me on oxygen they tried suffocating me in a wooden box and ripped out my belly button at least 5 attempts on my life they took out million dollar insurance policies on me and held me captive and kept trying to kill me they injected me unconscious with narcotics and raped me hundreds of times before I was 15 They raped me for bullshit reasons both at 553 North Dijon ct and 855 west placita el cauce Rico they validated the abuse because I slept with other people I went to school with the cops said I deserved to be raped after my adopted family drugged and forced me to do things I had no control of they were drugging me with twice the adult dosages and injected me with narcotics intentionally taking me places trying to get me killed on purpose they really did set me up I had no idea what I was doing I was under extreme influence they should of been arrested for drugging a minor almost to death they caused me to get myself into trouble on purpose they think it's funny endangering the other wemon and me I was the victim it's a miracle I survived they have been drugging and raping me since I was 1 years old instead of holding my abusive family accountable for what they intentionally caused they'd rather gaslight and continue to drug and rape and exploit me the same way Aubrey did the police They didn't do anything for 5 months after I discovered that Aubrey was injecting me with drugs and gang raping me even though I already had a certificate of innocence from the judge the police and sheriff's still discriminated against me and tried to cover up 20+ years of sexual abuse I suffered from others in Tucson and 2+ years at aubreys house My stolen belongings from aubreys were at another house 210s abrego that means they were in our house and picked what they wanted from my property Scott tried to force me to sleep with his friends that had diseases with no care for my safety I refused and then they tried killing and dumping my body by the railroad tracks and a storage unit because I refused to sleep with them Aubrey kept attacking me and threatening me because I wouldn't let them abuse me so they kicked me out and continued to prey upon me while I was homeless I went to the hospital and the medical examiner photographed the syringe stab wounds I indured the same black equinox at 210 s abrego used to park next door to aubreys house they were using all 4 houses to sex traffick people and illigal immigrants I was also the victim Aubrey and Scott were charging people money to rape me the same thing my adopted family did he had contact with my abusive adopted family he committed all the same crimes against me they did I was not expected to survive they tried to murder me many times Aubrey was drugging and letting strangers in our house he charged them money to rape me after they drugged me unconscious I was covered in syringe stab wounds my stolen property from his house I found at another address the black equinox at 210 s abrego they parked nextdoor to aubreys that's how they moved the people that gang raped me when I found out what they were doing I called the cops and sheriff's and they refused to get involved even after multiple murder attempts I survived after refusing to let them gang raped me they locked me outdoors so they could continue to abuse me the medical examiner photographed my multiple stab wounds from when they attacked and sexually assaulted me he and the people he charged to sexually assault and ganged rape me he posted the rape films online and then locked me outdoors to continuously be sexually assaulted by the same people I've been raped almost every week when I go number 2 there's always someone else's DNA in there and I haven't had sex in half a year they use heroin to tranquize and sexually assault us every time I use the restroom it's been like that since he locked me out still being raped by them

    How long do local housing authorities keep past tenant records? For example if I moved out of housing over 15 -20 yrs ago and wanted to go back … Would the housing authority have my previous tenant record? My grandmother wanted to know.

    My rights as a disabled tenant are being violated heavily and I want to sue the landlord and her realtor for the incessant mental distress they have caused me throughout this entire process of the rental being shown for sale. I'm mentally ill and they know this, yet continue to cause mental distress and have been warned that I will sue if they don't quit. Only problem is, I can't find a Colorado lawyer who will help me with that. Legal aid here is a joke, they don't do landlord-tenant cases.

    Who could you recommend getting in touch with over this BS in Marion? We are a disabled household on Section 8 & our landlords have done nothing for us except overcharge for everything, & when that's not paid... fees on top of fees on top of fees, then add in some late fees....they take our RENT payments & pay all the damn late fees they charge !!! Its soooo WRONG on several levels & yes we are a protected class under ADA & HUD!! I got in touch with a South FL lawyer to litigate these mofos into the Stone Ages!! But I want them sent to PRISON on many counts of possible embezzlement, money laundering, fraud & the like

    Going through it now in Michigan..huge cooperation told about dangers of tenant as well as electrical for two years..not fixed and the fire comes in jan. We have no power to fight for our rights.iv written everyone. Attorneys charge or say hard case won't. Get much. Discourage andore health issues we give up..or lose our housing then what.its sad

    Last year I was told to move due to professional tenants and welfare fraud 🤥🤡 tenants who hate crimes against disabled on house vouchers program in St.Paul public housing workers told me those who did this to me in October of 2022, because of there behavior problems of those African American people who doing poor me remarks. And I didn't caused them to loss there hcvs and a white person Jennifer Osksi wrote derogatory remarks, stands by my door 🚪 to listen in to my friends relatives family. Writing nasty notes put them by my door. My neighbor saw Jennifer Osksi made up stories about me. I frozen my hcvs till I get a nice place. Feb 23, 2023 sent to assting house 🏠 in Brooklyn Park Minnesota. They in January 10, 2024 these people shot and killed my emotional support cat Pepsi for no reason for it. Now I have to get another cat maybe two cats. Get them checked by a vet, vaccines and fixed so won't have kittens.

    So a private business owner/landlord cannot choose the best person they determine to enter into a contract with. If special needs people are unable to find housing maybe all these NGO do gooders should by property and rent to them specifically.

    I live in eastern Washington, been dealing with mold , asbestos, leaks, bubbled floors, in my apt for 6 years. I'm a senior disabled person, and live in subsidized apartments. I can't breath, just spent 6 hours in hospital. many talks to mgt, and owners, and work orders that haven't been acknowledged. Smoke detectors don't work either.Been to health dept, called 4 attorneys in area, called asbestos removal, and plumbers. Can't find an attorney to get owners to fix this problem. I have no transportation except my walker and my mobility scooter. I'm dying here and no one seems to be there to help.

      My landlord here in Colorado has been told twice by the health department that this house I'm renting has mold in it but he still hasn't done anything about it. I have asthma and 4 parakeets. Every time I turn on the heater, my furnace is gas and is in the basement, so all that stinky mold smell comes straight from the basement on up through the vents. Nobody will do shit about it. Ironically, there is no smoke detector in my house and yet there's a fire extinguisher. How does that make sense?

    Inhibiting the use of a property can also include outdoor areas that came with your place Let's say you have a private area depending on designs that may vary, and you have two or three parking spaces and one of them you want to protect. You may have a physical barrier in that spot you want to protect, maybe even part of a second parking spot where you don't want no one parking. I've actually had this particular type of problem before I slowly started obtaining physical barriers in, and I was being blocked and even out of my entrance due to parking alone. Some places may also have a loading zone that also needs protection. Physical barriers work FAR BETTER than just signs or just telling people to stay out of those areas. PHYSICAL barriers WORK, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them! If you have certain outdoor territory and the landlord is telling you to make changes to outdoor physical barriers when there's NEVER been a problem BEFORE, the problem is with the LANDLORD, NOT you. Just because they have a problem moving something for mowing doesn't mean it needs changed or that they have a right to criticize and hang your residency over your head if you don't agree with giving them their way. Now you know why it's vital to firmly stand your ground and record everything. If the landlord can take pictures and even talk to Others behind your back, specifically if you're on section 8, then who knows what that landlord who's been talking to Section 8 for years has been saying about you until the landlord finally decides to mention it. If it's a safety concern, then yes, fix the issue. If you've had something in a specific spot and then the landlord suddenly decides to have a childish temper tantrum and throw your outdoor stuff in a pile outside of your entrance when he's never done so before, then the landlord has a problem, not you. When you fix necessary issues, the landlord has no more right to say another thing about nothing else, which is why I'm pointing out everything I'm saying here because I've actually faced these these issues. A friend of mine described one particular situation as nitpicking. She's been through it before, and she described what to look for. She said no sooner than you fix one issue they don't like, they're picking on you about something else. My friend went on to explain that those who nitpick only do this when there's no legal grounds to get rid of you. She said they make your life so miserable that you'll want to leave, which is why they do it when they have a secret plan you know nothing about it. Even if they reveal their plan to you, they might make that miserable for you and make you want to leave, which is what their secret plan really is. If you leave, they win. If they win, They'll realize they can pull this on someone else and get away with it. That's why you need to get a lawyer involved who handles these matters . Retaliation can come when you firmly assert your rights, especially if you don't know whether or not they have a secret agenda. This agenda could inhibit your use of even your outdoor space by disrupting your way of life. If they can't tell you how to live, they may find ways to disrupt your way of life , which might also include demanding allowing changes to certain outdoor items that you're using, especially for SPECIFIC multiple purposes , and those purposes were fully explained. When I explained what I was doing, in one area he kept shaking his head and I kept saying "oh yes I DO", and "oh yes I AM" using that item for THAT purpose, and I need it ALL!! When I explained part of my way of life He acknowledged in advanced that he knew I wasn't going to like what he was going to say.... By the way, he had been drinking right around THAT time. Oh yes, and he does drive after drinking! I'm all for having a small amount of alcohol for health, but I'm against excessive drinking. I grew up around drunken parents who went too far. Many people who drink tend to use the alcohol wrong because they're drinking for the wrong reasons Instead of dealing with issues That don't require drinking. If you're taking small amounts for health or to help clear up certain illnesses, then you're doing right as long as you don't abuse it. I guarantee if I ever become US president, I'm going to see what options are available to make alcohol less accessible and to start teaching the public how to use it right. I can use my story as a testimony of that and how small amounts Have help me in the past and even saved my life on one particular occasion . I'm going to see to what extent I can make alcohol available for RX only along with baby formula . Too many women these days don't breastfeed like they should . I understand that some women can't, which is who those that formula is for . Those who can, I'm going to see how I can make formula unavailable for those who can breastfeed And has been proven medically to be able to do so . Certain things are going to be RX only Under my presidency IF God DOES take me down THAT path, as I saw in some prophetic dreams. BIG changes are coming to THIS country if I can help it! I'm talking about POSITIVE changes for the better, and the GREATER good

    Sometimes though, if the apartment is all the way up stairs, then the person wouldn't be able to rent it in the first place if there's no elevator. That is unless they weren't told that it was all the way upstairs.... And that there's no elevator The landlord would have to put that tenant up in certain cases at their own expense In a hotel or motel until structure changes are made, because obviously it wasn't that tenants fault they found themselves in that situation . Again, there are some situations where the landlord must pay for the tenant to temporarily stay In a temporary accommodation until changes are made. Then you have situations where maybe structure changes CAN'T be made. Once you find out where all the supports are for the building, the plumbing and wiring, changes might not necessarily be able to be made in certain cases. Depending on the building and how it was made will depend on whether or not it can be structurally modified. If it can't, then the tenant must get all of their money back along with reasonable extra for their troubles, so they can find another place that's more accommodating. What I'm saying is sometimes changes can't always be made to the building structure. In some cases some structures may have to be torn down and completely rebuilt with an all new design, which would be too costly for one situation. Let's say you live in an old historical home within a historical district. Yes, some places may be able to be accommodated for within reason, but depending on other things will depend on if structure changes can be made, sometimes they can't be done Some areas within certain areas of a historical district may even open their homes for public tours depending on the events that are going on. This is another good reason why sometimes you can't always modify a Historical structure. So it's not just this, but also how the home was made when it was originally built. Different things MUST be considered Before changing the structure of a historical building Before changing the structure of a historical building. Not all of them will be able to be restructured while others can, (but restructuring might be limited). Knowing the law is one thing, but just be mindful of what situations might be like in a historical situation when dealing with historical buildings. Again, not all of them can be restructured, depending on how everything was designed when it was built

    Actually no on the training with the service animal and I'm going to tell you where you're missing something Service animals in particular do need some level of training to know what to do for the disabled person they were trained to serve. People taking regular pets into establishments and passing them off as service animals is what's hurting the disabled who have real service animals. Yes, some level of training is required for service animals and emotional support animals, so that they'll behave properly within the establishments where animals usually aren't allowed. If someone takes a regular pet into something like a restaurant, it's going to be spotted sooner or later and called out. Service animals in particular do need some level of training so that they'll know how to behave and act like a service or support animal. So therefore actually yes they do need some level of training. In fact there was someone who brought a service animal into one of our local drug stores and he was even explaining that his particular service animal that could be discriminated against has a specific number to a specific agency he can call if he has any issues. Every single establishment should be asking to see Proof of Your Service or support animal being such in order to weed out people passing off fakes as what they're really not

    Another type of accommodation is physical barriers within one's own yard and parking area If you have a certain infrastructure design where your parking space is right there by your entrance, you have a right to have a physical barrier there to keep other cars out of it I had a problem with a landlord harassing me over items that have been in the same spots for years with absolutely no problem until a dumpster incident, but I won't get into that here. all I'll say is there was absolutely no notice whatsoever that a dumpster was coming and not to use it. Instead of handling it in a nice friendly manner, the landlord had the gall to not only question, but interrogate the resident for several minutes in a harsh manner. Then he went a step further to leave at tiny little bit of trash back on the residents doorstep instead of giving a little bit of lead weigh and just leaving the trash alone and allowing the resident to pay a small fee to just leave the trash in that dumpster. Come to find out, it was a situation where the landlord rented the dumpster and he had to take some stuff out of the another apartment. Fast forward later, he went on to tell the disabled resident that eventually the physical barrier protecting the disabled persons parking space will eventually go. Then he comes back around one night and suggests that either the disabled resident agrees to allow that physical barrier to be downsized through a physical modification, or it was suggested that the disabled resident can consider moving. This was hung over the disabled residents head and the resident was forced into the situation. The disabled resident doesn't want anyone messing with the physical barrier protecting that parking space. We may need a disability rights lawyer to get involved if it goes any further and another word is said about it by the landlord. This same barrier has been in place for a number of years and is being used for multiple purposes. No one ever bothers around there, the landlord complains when he must move the thing for mowing. Well, it's respected if things must be moved from mowing, no problem whatsoever. The landlord has complained that the barrier falls apart when he moves it. That's because he doesn't know how to handle the barrier like the owner does, so the rightful owner of the item offered to move it themselves if they knew when the landlord would be around to mow. The owner doesn't want the landlord meddling in their life. They can't legally tell you how to live, but forcing you into a situation and hanging your residency over your head is a way of forcing their will into your life and interfering with your way of life by making you live with less of what you're using, especially when you need it all! That's why a disability rights lawyer may be needed if this goes any further. It's bad enough when a landlord is slow to fix a leak into that person's apartment knowing there's a Plumbing Leak above the ceiling. The rent may soon have to go to Escrow if this isn't promptly addressed, so the disabled resident may have two cases here combined into one big case. Moving just isn't possible due to a lack of funds and other resources. Plus, the disabled resident lives alone and has no family, so the landlord can have section 8 wrapped around his finger. Yes, it seems like someone is taking advantage of what they think is a weak link. That's why some lawyers may need to step in real soon if things get to a certain point

    What exavtly is an undue delay time period, because non of that information can be located anywhere? I would think that wating for almost an entire year for a simple request for accommodation for a reserved parking or even two months is an undue delay with never any intention to accommodate. Protected class tenants are also now being put on a month to month lease, so it would appear that this be the motive of these landlords to lie, ignore emails or calls, no longer accommodate and just get rid of you. Stop giving people false hope, because landlords are always enabled to do as they please and a protected class tenant has no rights and never did.

    What if you already live in an upstairs apartment. You have to move because you can't really do the steps, the walk to the apartment as well. It's becoming a problem. I am already on SSD, I do work in a position that accommodates my needs, thankfully. I need to break my lease to move in a one-story home that is set up better for my issues. I have had some issues with this new management company, they are horrible with the property and I have complained about upkeep around the community. So it's going to be a battle. Can I get out of my lease if I send a sixty-day letter to move out on December 31, 2023? My lease ends on July 14, 2024. I have to give 60-day notice normally. Seeing that I am already getting disability for my back, PTSD, cancer remission, etc. this should be no issue. I am not sure though, I live in South Carolina. Yes, my rent is always paid in full, and no violations.

    I lived at this address for 35 years wood ridge apartments. My 3 specialty, children autism mentally challenged hear and impaired.they The air-conditioned the landlord claimed. They need a new wire coming to find out. There was Nothing wrong with The Wire I had. I could speak better over the phone because I'm still upset. How could people stoop that low and lie? What should I do? Could I file a complaint against her?

      @@timhammond7324 nope.ny state.just so you know I won! lawyers and the mayor's office and town hall got involved in my case and saved the day.they were ordered not to come anywhere near my apartment or me.👍🏻

    Thay will just shut down the low income or disabled apartments the owner doesn't have to fix them up to shuned them out of there town and only offer town owner state assisted living facilities and Thay are the worse options
