Trip to Disneyland as an empty nester
A solo day at Disneyland. It was my favorite trip so far. I was able to go on the rides I really wanted to go on without anyone else’s input. It started raining the last hour but I still enjoyed my day at Disneyland

My kiddos are both in their late 20’s, but my nest STILL isn’t completely empty! Looks like you had a fun time! (We’re kinda locals, being an hour south of Anaheim in northern San Diego, so these parks have long been a kind of second home to my family for all of my kids’ lives
My kids are not as fond of Disney as I am. I try to get them to go with me but when there were no takers, I decided I could go by myself and still have a good time. Thank you for your comment Ed. That's wonderful that you get to enjoy going to Disneyland often.

The very first Disney resort I ever stayed in, back in 1987…. Doesn’t actually look much different! Nice music, as usual
It's been renovated recently but it still felt a bit dated. Definitely pros and cons to this resort but we loved out stay. Hoping to be back early next year. Thanks for the kind comments.
Ha, we took the same island tour. Was there 9/27 - 10/4, stayed at the Marriott at Waikiki, absolutely beautiful. Definitesly somet things I would do differently next time, like rent a car or possibly even stay on the Northeast side of the island... Too many pan handlers and pushy salesman always interrupting my nice walks along the strip.
We looked into the Marriott as well but ultimately decided on Embassy suites. Their complimentary breakfast was pretty awesome.
Makes me feel like I was there! Oh, wait... I WAS! Great video and pics from a great cruise on Ovation of the seas. As you can see - great weather, great views, and great food. An all-around good time.

This was very nice! We just spent six days in Oahu back in May (we stayed at Aulani) and you managed to visit most of the places we loved (The Japanese temple, Polynesian Cultural Center) plus you stayed where we will be staying when we return in April of ‘24…nice memories, and, again, very good use of music
