Nah. The LEGEND of Pantera started right here about 2 miles from, where I sit Shreveport, LA. Because of their friends here, they were introduced to Phil after a show here 1 night and he joined the band that night, here in Shreveport. They played their first show with Phil right here like a week later, I assume to thank their friends for introducing them to Phil. The rest is HISTORY. We would end up rioting a few years later when they canceled a show about 20 mins prior to showtime due to a new law that went into effect about concerts could only have seats. No standing room and Pantera wanted all the metal chairs removed for safety. They refused so Pantera refused to play. And we rioted. Look up Pantera Shreveport and read the article about them meeting Phil here. Look up Pantera Riot and you can read about it, too. Shreveport LOVES Pantera to this day. Always will. They'll always have a huge connection here. Just like Eddie Van Halen, Dime's favorite guitar player. Aint that a coincidence? Eddie met his ex-wife Val here at a VH concert backstage. She lived here at the time with her parents. Pretty sure they lived here when Wolfie was born. When Eddie passed, sooooooo many people in the local FB group had stories about Eddie & Val and running into them out on the town at clubs and stuff. It was incredible because I had no idea Eddie had a connection here until that moment. They used to start their tours here so he could be close to Val and stuff. It was great. Pretty ironic that both Dime AND Eddie had huge connections to Shreveport, LA. Dime & them only lived a couple hours away in Dallas so they always came here to play in the 80s, before they met Phil

@@Zacattack1990 then talk to ikmultimedia it’s literally a screen recording of a live stream. The audio sync and it being flipped has nothing to do with recording an posting. Pretty easy concept.

Everyone always says he used Washburn for most of Pantera, but the 3 most classic records (CFH/Vulgar/FBD) are all Dean. He switched to Washburn around 95/96 thru to 2001-ish with Pantera.
I think most people refer to when they actually started listening to them and they were getting bigger. He loved dean and Washburn was a close second for him. He used Washburn for 10 years or so.

Love G Champion! I heard he's supposed to help out with zakk Wyldes tone and using dimes gear to sound more like them. My prized possession is a Dime 3 Dimeslime signed by all of Pantera in 2000 and dime played it too!

so Dime tuned to C# + 40 cents (D minus 60 cents) .... so that means NOT a quarter step like most ppl say. a quarter step is 50 cents
I always just take the calibration on my korg. Chromatic and detune to 425 hz rather than 440 that way u get to tune to the middle in the green where its more accurate that way u can tune to e standard and d standard according to the tuner and it will be on par with the album stuff.
