Is 2023 mask the same as 2024 for a XC-F 250?
Thank you, got it installed. Only issue I have is no clue how you used those zipties. Once that ignition was in front of them nothing was going in there. Either way I'm very happy with it. Excellent quality,
Hi, Chris. Fantastic update on the already great Bomber Switches! Would you please consider making a 5-button switch? Two Blinker buttons on the bottom row, a single horn button in the middle, and two light buttons on the top row (1 on/off light switch and 1 hi/lo dimmer light switch). It appears there may be enough room for a middle (5th) button. I'll be your first customer for a 5-button switch. Thanks for your consideration, and keep up the innovation!
What key set up can I use that will fit in this mount
Hey chris where can we buy your products like this one in Europe?
we would love to set up a dealer in EU. Do you recommend one?
As a matter fact i do. Hernan from nomadas adventure is a very serious guys. He works already with seat concepts & others to distribute here in Europe. He jas a rally school so very involved in the industry. He is extremely professional and is interested in talking to you. I believe you guys are a great fit. We desperately need your products in Europe Chris. You will make a killing. I spoke to him and he is waiting for you to call him. Again Nomadas Adventure in Switzerland

will this also work with the 2019 KTM 500 EXC?

we do as well
There are literally no youtube reviews of this light anywhere... do you have one somewhere online?
we lost our website reviews when we moved to a new website a few months ago.
@@MotoMindedLLC I see, I just sent you guys an email. We're looking for a light setup for the baja 400. Lot looking to break the bank as it's an expensive race as is. Stock 300xc stator is 20w.
Will this work on Canadian size motorcycle plates? 5x8
sorry no
Will this work on Canadian size motorcycle plates? 5x8

Would this work with the 2 bolt brackets?
2-bolt? not sure what you mean
thanks for framing that taco moto steeeeker oh so nicely in the shot. well done that
Deep sexy voice, clear instructions. What's not too like?!?!
Does the stick gauge cluster tell you your speed? MPH? Thanks!
Yes, same ODO / Speedo on the 2017-24 Enduro bikes.
Not with our adjustable dimmer. If you use the Baja Designs relay dimmer (not adjustable) it uses the green wire.
On the XL, the female plug with the green wire (ground I assume) is not utilized anywhere anymore?
Will this work on a 24 300 xcw?
100%
Hello, I have an XL 80 on my 2017 350 excf. I just got a 2024 500 excf and wanted to know if this will directly swap over?
KTM went to a 2 part mask in 2024. You will need the XL LED bracket for 2024. www.motominded.com/collections/bracket-change-over-kits
You will also need the plug adaptor because they moved to a waterproof headlight plug in 2024 www.motominded.com/products/gen-1-to-gen-2-ktm-hqv-gg-headlight-plug-adapters
@@MotoMindedLLCthank you!
Excellent detail and explanation. Well done gents!
so, im not sharpest tool in the shed. but im guessing a headlight, and phone charger is out of the question at 7amps
It is not the clearest on our video. We need to make an update to this. This is testing the worst case scenario at idle/low rpm. Once rolling and higher rpm, more power available. 7amps x 12v = 84 watts. So this supports most LEDs and a GPS. We have been durability testing this bike and we have been running 8-ish amps with no problems
Nicely done.. my calling is to build, setup these bikes working for a small outfit..😊
Go for it!
I apologize if you already mentioned this. Does this model have the new XACT fork or a carryover XPLOR? Thanks. Great looking bike.
XACT closed chamber forks. They are excellent.
Beautiful build,
Great walk around and video. Any reason we can't route power into the HIGH BEAM connection on that harness on/off if can figure out which hole it is from the EXC if we only ride off road and don't need lo beam???? I assume the stator can power the high beam on this as it is same setup as EXC?
no reason why not Yes, it is basically that simple.
nice bike setup, is this a 500 exc or 450 xcfw?
500 EXC with a XCF head and throttle body
best of both worlds. have you ever tried to get a stock ktm ecu for an exc from europe and run that instead of the after market options we have here? @@MotoMindedLLC
Nice set up, Chris!
thanks
Motominded made me a set of these for my KTM 500 to run in the Baja 1000. The lights were easy to install worked great. Motominded sold me a harness that was plug and play where I could use the on/off switch on the bike. What I like is this lights stay stationary pointing straight when your headlight is pointing the other direction. One of the best products and the best customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. Reach out to them you will not be disappointed.
Thanks for the feedback @chanceblackwell !
Looks like a great alternative to running a helmet light. How do ya turn em on/off? Separate switch from headlight?
Everything is in our product page. www.motominded.com/products/rad Choices: 1. Headlight Tap = on in high beam for bikes with high/low or on with headlight for on/off bikes. 2. Harness to Battery, includes an on/off switch. You can mount the switch in many locations.
Can you provide feedback on the IMS tank? Are you using the stock fuel pump “sock” pick up, and have you had any issues with fuel feeding once the tank runs low on fuel?
Stock pickup. I am waiting on some solution to get fuel out of the left side of the tank. As of now, we have about .6 gallons not usable down there. Reach out to TacoMoto.co we hear they are working on a new product to solve this.
Hopefully you can provide some guidance. I currently race a 2023 KTM 300 XC - Love it! I'm wanting a dual sport so I don't know whether to go 500 EXC, 500 XW-F or 450 XCF-W. Get the EXC or one of the others and add a dual sport kit. I'd appreciate your input with respect to initial cost vs conversion/performance. Thanks!
Best bang for buck is the 450 XCF--W in our opinion. Depending on what state you live in, might not be best option. 500 in both models need de-smog from what we understand. Best to reach out to @tacomoto. They are doing builds now and likely have more info on all 3 of these models.
What’s your service interval?
Per the manual. Very little difference from the 2017-23 bikes
So are you unable to run a XL-80 & Racer Edition combo from Desert Unlimited?
If you bypass the OCU and harness to battery, should be good to go
K… where’s the light builds, differences and reviews?!
Your video makes this look very clean, but that might also be because this older version has less wiring in the front. I have a 21 FE501S and I'll be finding out if it really makes a difference on wiring space and organization. I also have heated grips which adds a huge bulk of wiring and connectors in that area.
Curious if anyone has been running say an xl80 for a ride on the stock harness? I know you tested the circuit and it runs it however, the xl80 pulls 5.5 amps and that would require 14 awg wire and the stock harness light wiring is not 14…
Thanks for the great content. Just going through my 24’ xcfw and very easy, free light upgrade… swap the blue and yellow wires in the bulb connector. This will make both upper and lower leds come on and not the front very dim ones.
Oh, perfect! Thank you! I think this is same on 500 XW. I assumed this should work for those of us that don't ride on-highway and just want bright night off road! Now to figure out how to pull the pins on that waterproof connector (hum...). *edit* done! Pull the LED connector out (the LED housing should twist out of the mount too, in order to make it easier to work on). Then, looking at the inside of the 4 pins spade connection, you can see the yellow locking mechanism. slip very small micro blade or pointed sharp behind the slot in the yellow lock insert and black enclosure and pull the yellow locking out with small needle nose pliers. Once that is off, there are little tabs black tabs you can pry open to allow the blade to slide out the back with the green water proof grommets all intact. Swap the Yellow and Blue wire positions and push them back in. Re-insert the yellow locking tab making sure the keeper tabs are back down! I didn't look very close at what LED's are lit in stock mode, but both top and bottom are shining after (but not the front facing Euro-park beam ones?). It seems quite a bit brighter. Not sure if both can be enabled by shorting yellow/blue together, and if it is yellow or blue slot to put them in (probably in the yellow one for these as blue is probably the high beam source). Either way, my switch doesn't work very well and the click-mechanism doesn't seem to hold all the time (and it is BRAND NEW!!).
Any updates on the LED light options for the new headlight? Smashed my stock one today, looking for a new one. Any chance youd be able to make them to attach with rubber straps to the forks like the old ones, instead of bolt on?
shoot us an email to office@motominded.com
I just picked up a 24' and the dealer had the map switch in stock. Both Maps and TC control work but QS light wont enable! Do you happen to know how the dealer activated it? My dealer said plug and play and doesn't know....
No idea what the dealer did, exactly, just know it is a feature activated with their service computer. It is KTM of Grand Junction, maybe they can help. What/who is your dealer? We are still looking for a map switch
They got it turned on today! My dealer is Carls Cycle in Boise
@@Matkinson757 excellent, thank you
Absolutely no excuse for not installing a MM set up on your bike. I have an Epic on my 23' 450xcfw. MM has truly outstanding design and customer service.
Thank you!

Yes
12oclock wheelie is how you get the gas up. lol
yes!
Hello, I bought this bike but I cannot find anywhere to get the 4.1 fmf like yours, also ive heard I need to update map with new exhaust ?
If you do have a 450 XCF-W, no need to do anything to the map. This is an open offroad ECU. We ordered ours directly from FMF for the 23 450 XCF-W.
THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
Thanks! We dig it too!
Com’on now! I had to watch an ad that was twice as long as the video! I thought this video would give me some pointers on install.
sorry, didn't even know they were running ads on our video. we get $0 from that
Thanks. It’s all good. I should’ve paid attention to how long the video was - that way i wouldn’t have expected install tips. After watching this I found the QR code in the box for the installation instructions and that helped. I installed the MotoMinded flex plate & I like it! Thanks for making quality products for us!
@@davidh6157 Excellent, thank you
how do you test this out on other bikes? what kind of monitor is that?
Do you know if the FMF slip on pipe fits the EXC-F 2024? Thanks
we have not seen a EXC 2024 yet. Unknown. We will update this thread when we can confirm. (if they did not change the XCF-W, odds are good they did not change the EXC
@@MotoMindedLLCHello, just bought this exact same bike and been lurking around your video. Dealer cannot find the same fmf you have, would you have the part number per chance. And does it need ecu update after switching exhaust ?
My bracket kit doesn't have the 3rd hole option. I guess I got different or older version on this mask? 🤔
Hello, We have updated the XL bracket over the years. Unfortunately we have not updated our install video. The bracket we produce and ship today does not have the 3rd bolt. After years of use, the locking feature is not needed. The current bolt location is at the center of gravity and keep the LED aimed in place even after hitting all the whoops in Baja.
@MotoMindedLLC thank you for the explanation. Also, when amber len cover installed it can't be aim lower w/o len cover. With len cover it hit bottom bracket 3d paint part. And also the len cover rubbing on the left side of the mask (left blinker side).
