That was around 2016 though. And what I didn't tell....they had a red crystal clear one and he only wanted 40 for that one. Those are expensive now. The 2DS even at 70 is a really lovely system to use. Thanks for your comment. And yeah...if you find them that cheap today buy them all.... LoL 🤣. One time I went to a yard sale around 2011. They had 3 GBA SP and three DS lites. The GBA SP were 10 and the DS Lites were 20. I had enough money to get the SPs...all three. I went to an ATM to get money for the DS lites and when I got back they had sold them. Back then....I used to keep some and GIFT some to friends at Christmas. Should have been greedy and kept them all. LoL. I have more than enough though....but we will never see prices like that again. Ever.

Yes but that USED to be the standard quality without it being considered premium. I think they really changed up quality around 2010. I have some from the 80s and yes, the canvas was nice and thick. Even mine from around 2005 are good. Thanks for your comment and info! The pro keds are not cheap but the quality is very good and they look different enough to catch attention...if you want attention. Every time I wear them at least one person says they had some or asks about them.

@@JB-js4xi ah alright 🙂 But I’ve only had converse as a canvas high top shoe but would you say that the pro keds are a little more comfortable? And is the sole thickness the same on both shoes or is it thicker on the Keds?

@@1MercedesBenzW124 pro keds are bigger in size so they're a bit wider than converse. Well I use these reflective ones to ride an electric scooter for extra visibility and they've held up great. I would say they're close to same thickness as converse on the bottoms but these bottoms are all rubber like the premium converse. 👍

Yes. Well it plays local stations beautifully. And it is a nice large fairly good reproduction especially if all you use it for is stations in a 30 mile radius. If I lived somewhere with decent local stations I would enjoy it much more. I am fortunate to have plenty other radios that receive much better such as my super favorite GE 10 Band Monitor Radio. Russia, Germany, England...Puerto Rico, anywhere and pulls FM 90 miles away. The shortwave on this thing is as abysmal as the FM...I agree with you. It's why I call it the Corvette. LoL. As with the car....looks great, under performs and more expensive than should be but is indeed an eye catcher. LoL

It has a harder time pulling in FM from 80 and 90 miles away than any of my other radios. SW isn't very good on it either. If you have strong local stations it DOES sound good. I just think it wasn't good enough to be an anniversary edition....my opinion. But then like I said...I have to rely on stations far away. Yes it is beautiful 😍

@@Luci-fd6ny I've tried every antenna I own. But that was a good idea. It's pretty but just not that great for SW or FM. If the FM is local...within 25 miles it sounds wonderful though

@JB-js4xi I mean you could always try speaker wire, that may bring decent results. I've messed with making antennas and such myself and honestly speaker wire rocks lol. On my Yamaha RX-V795RDS I got 100% signal strength on some stations FM And actually good AM. Managed to pick stuff up from all over Europe. Another thing about your radio, loop antennas are best for AM and you could have separate antenna slots for AM/FM so that's worth considering and yeah! Placing the radio and antenna near the window or outside should give the best results

@@Luci-fd6ny thanks. And this isn't my optimal radio room. My kitchen is best for reception but this one didn't do well there and there was no permanent place to leave it. I use a GE 10 Band Monitor, Super Radio 2, Zenith T-O, etc...even cheap stuff. They all out perform this for pulling in stations. I've never really understood proper antenna builds but yes I have run wire and have permanent wire run around my kitchen to use for a boost with any radio struggling. I agree that's a magic thing!! Wire is awesome. Oh this one gets 💯 signal strength on the 17 FM local Christian stations. I want ROCK so I have to pull it in from 70-90 miles away. My GE 10 Band does that on its own with no extra wire. It's simply a superior radio receiver. 👍 And it's not the radio's fault I need to grab stations so far away.... LoL 😆

I painted it in 2004. LoL. I gently wash it with a power washer sometimes. Thank you. Yes...I enjoy it. Modern plastic fences are low maintenance and pretty but they still just don't quite ring "authentic". When I was a child this picket fence went the perimeter. So much maintenance that around 1993 we just left the front and did hurricane fence for the rest. If you ride down the street it appears as a full fence....all about appearance when it comes to the front.... LoL

And how we can take negative behavior toward positive thinking. Just saying ....I was very angry with my mother until I realized.....she treated me how she was treated. Very interesting read.

I love plastic boards. LoL but grew up with them in the 70s. Grentecs. I replaced the bushings whether it was worth it or not....and I've enjoyed cruising on it. That's all I do anymore....cruise at a speed I might not break bones. LoL. That 70s Duraflex I have is one bad ass, mean board though. Now that's worth a purchase if you want speed a half inch off the ground....LoL. no...I don't ride it anymore but I let anyone willing try it and they're all freaked out!!!

Awesome! Yes, Thrift Books is my favorite seller but I do use others sometimes. I stay in the low price range as well but my hands hurt some now so I sort of prefer holding paper backs more now. I have a very nice book collection, IMO. No one wants books. I go to estate sales and buy whole boxes full for 10 bucks sometimes. I gift out the cook books and gardening books to family members or friends. It's always nice to share books. Yes, I keep the King books too. Oh, funny to me, decades ago I told my book loving friend I was reading Bleak House and she yelled, "On purpose?? For fun? YUCK!". Thanks for a better reaction to it. 😅

@@CuteLesbo69 it has several RBI through 4 and '93 and '94 and Super RBI and Techno Baseball, Ken Griffey, Cal Ripkin, Tommy Lasorda, World Series, All Star, and MORE. LoL. I typed in baseball and it pulled up 63 titles. Yes....it's got baseball for sure. It has football, hockey...even saw a rugby game...lots of soccer ...yep. you will be able to find baseball games you like
