I was at this show as well as the summer 82 show at the Greatest downtown club of the 80’s Eleven bucks got you in on a Friday night, know why??? As Far as New Wave shows. So so many folks. Eurythmics debut. In 84 I did the fashion show before her performance and we kept the runway out. Eurasure was another great one. An WLIR Free broadcast there! BILLY IDOL one white light on him that night. So many great ones to pick. You had to be there and live it as we did. Because the RITZ was on 11th street!!!…

I guess I will never outgrow 'rediscovering' great bands. Oingo Boingo a great live band ...? I never would have believed it. Love these download videos. Thanx. I'm in my mid fifties and just purchased my first 2 Oingo Bingo albums. Some have pointed out they sound better live than in studio. Steve Bartek is great guitar player. The horn section. "Vato" on drums. Elfman a singer and a showman. The Mystic Knights 'Troupe' evolved into a great rocknroll new wave, ska 80's band ... and beyond ... the popularity of Weird Science.

These guys are like a more classically and sophisticated Mr. Bungle, I can definitely see now where Mike Patton took his influence

having been a fan since i was a nine-year-old in 1984 but never having seen them live, this gives me goosebumps....soooo effing good. post script: I befriended Dale Turner in the late 90s after meeting him at a studio I was working, and he was just the coolest dude ever with great stories.

I lived in LA for 17 years must've seen them -- usually every Halloween -- maybe eight or ten times. Including their last ever concert. And this video reminds me just how good a singer Danny was -- and is (I saw another video from '23 recently and he's still got it, considering). I LOVED this band.

I got an Oingo Boingo album, the sound is incredible, which this group had, they combine electric and acoustic that give a lot of energy to the songs. Without a doubt, these guys could have given more songs, it's a shame they broke up.
