This run with P160 finder and Level 13 amp it cost 36 ped per drop. I usually do d-class and P160 which is a bit lower 20 ped per drop :)

Yes it is Monria indoor mining, which has lower hitrate than outdoor mining, but higher claims. With big finders and amps I would not recommend to do it too often, but sometimes for fun :)

@xarcx646 All good bud 👍. Only reason I asked is that I noticed your drop rate was fairly rapid, but is perfectly fine in these high risk areas, since the find radius is alot smaller (which I'm sure you knew already 😋). GL on your future mining...HoF it up bro!!

Some mining areas I drop slower, depends on how much mining area I want to cover. PVP 2 is one of the areas where I do the quickest drops :)

Thanks. It depends on the mining area and how big the area is for the minerals you are trying to hit and how long the minerals wave is in time. I usually drop very frequent in popular places such as PVP 2 and I do not think it affects hit rate much (if any at all) if you go 50 m or 100 m between each drop. If the pyrite wave is on for example I think it is better to drop quick to get as much drops as possible during the wave.

I am not sure if you mean my total time in Entropia or recent biggest claim with these tools. My all time biggest claim was around 2008 and it was a Rich durulium 17k in lootable pvp 4 and I got it with a Ziplex Z20 finder with 102 light amp, which is an insane multiplier hit. That was an all time high hof which ranked 59 at the time of the hit. My more recent highest claim was in August this year, a Rich iron around 7k in pvp2 and I got it with a P085 finder with D-class amp.

Yeah there are better mining locations, but I was targeting pyrite and did sadly not hit any this run.

Yes, but it requires to invest a lot time to gain the knowledge and skills. Also investing money towards gear. Some players gets to see profits after some years of dedication. Some never profits at all. There are also some players that have earned some money without depositing, but that requires even more time and patience :)

I still use longblades, but I use a variation of L swords instead. I alternate between mindforce/melee/laser depending on what I hunt. Although the type of mobs I usually hunt nowadays have high aggro (Mulaak'f for example) so it feels more natural to use a ranged weapons for those so I guess I probably will hunt a bit more with mindforce or laser sniper onwards :)

Congrats hitting level 50 BLP. Try to have subgoals like unlocking commando and such along the way so the grinding towards level 105 is not as tedious. GL you too on the event :)

I am thinking of doing some sort of future guide either in video form or a written one which I will upload when its ready. Meanwhile I can write some of my thoughts about what to do at L40: Past L40 longblades is best to try to find an unlimited choice of LB that you want to stick with a long time. It depends on how much you want to invest in a weapon and what dps or mob level you are satisified with. If you are level 40 I would suggest to stick with what you have at the moment until you can use Shagadi disintegrate sword since it have great dps for its level and also decent eco/efficiency. But if you are more comfortable hunting lower level mobs then buying an Archon sword is the best unlimited LB choice. You can stick with these choices as long as you want and swap them with some endgame sword or high end L swords (when you reach level 60-80). If you have a lot of peds to invest there is the LB-40 improved available at mayhem token vendor. (decent dps, great efficiency/eco).

In short: If you like early high dps and fast leveling early then choose shortblades. If you want more endgame weapon choices, better mob reach or like to PVP then choose longblades. I think most melee users choose shortblades over longblades since many midlevel shortblades have much more dps compared to required skillevel. Especially in the midlevels 40-60. Also shortblades has more easy accessible unlimited alternatives in the midlevels (ArcSpark,firefly, Xeno-dagger for example). While longblades has better latelevel 60-90 unlimited and limited alternatives. It is there where the dps for longblades catches up. I guess you can say that shortblades are better for quickly leveling while longblades are better for endgame. There are good endgame unlimited shortblades, but in my opinion those are much harder to obtain and often because of that are much more expensive. Two other factors where longblades has an advantage over shortblades is the weapon reach and PVP. With most longblades you can step back while attacking which can be nice to minimized time between each mob kills. Also high tier longblades are really good pvp weapons.

I think I will stick with longblades for the time being playing more for endgame in mind, also using a Trauma 4 and with accuracy enhancers I am above 3 dmg/pec so Philosopher's feel like the right choice while also having higher dps giving me more choice of mobs to hunt. ​@@Ripcraze Update on this topic: Longblades are even more attractive now for endgame since the new modified nano blade and mayhem amps was introduced in mayhem vendor. Mayhem amps are mostly applicable on longblades due to the extreme high damage and few other melee weapons can apply full damage of even mayhem amp 1.

I will most likely start using some Embra spectral blade E.L.M (L) for shrapnel usage when I reach level 90, but still use Nifleheim to loot shrapnel. I hope when I reach level 100 that there will be more long blades that requires higher profession than level 100. I will consider releasing a video in the future where I share my thoughts about the melee profession and also mindforce profession :)

The sword does not use ammo, but it decays. So you need to repair it which cost peds instead of ammo.

​@@whatisit2816 With right gear and knowledge, yes you can make some money. Although it requires you to invest a lot of time (several years) and money into the game to reach that level and knowledge.

Also I will add that if you play casual and not above your starting level you can play for very low cost. So it is usually a balance between trying to profit or just play casually. I would suggest those who start playing Entropia just to focus on playing for fun with earning money being a long term goal :)

There are few eco alternatives for longblades at level 0-20 and at those levels I suggest you use other weapon profession that has better eco (rifle or handgun for example) and take codex-rewards for longblades profession up to level 20. At level 20 you can begin using Philosopher Sword which is very eco for its level and has 59.7 % efficiency and 2.910 dmg/pec. When you reach level 28 get Archon Sword. Archon Sword has best eco for longblades in low-mid level hunting with 65.3% efficiency and 2.983 dmg/pec. Alternative if you cannot afford Archon Sword then get Hero Sword instead. Hero Sword is a bit cheaper and has 62.1 % efficiency and 2.941 dmg/pec. You can stick with Archon Sword as long as you want but if you want more dps than eco to hunt higher mobs in midlevels then I suggest in to use Dehera Immolation Sword (level 30-40) and lastly Shagadi disintegration sword (level 48-).

​@@Leo-xv8uq Yeah the armatrix series has good DPP, efficiency and also uses ammo so you do not have the problem of needing to sell bulk of shrapnel or use it in other professions. Although the big downside with armatrix is that since they are limited weapons with decent markup you are paying that markup to get the benefits of the weapon. If you use up 100 ped worth of a limited weapon which has 115% markup you are basically paying 15 ped extra to use the weapon which is in the long run hard to be sustainable. In my opinion armatrix series or other L alternatives should be seen as a short term choice if you need to skill up to a certain level where you can begin using a unlimited weapon :)
