As soon as I walked into a wash the owl flew away from a pocket in the cliff onto a tree and then i observed it hyperventilating for a long time. Was not sure if the hyperventilation was to cool off or to scare me.

Petroglyphs at Keyhole Sink Trail #114 More information : www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/kaibab/recarea/?recid=11678 The hike to the actual site is very short and well maintained. The petroglyphs are not too many or probably have faded by now due to erosion. The main attraction to me was one of the petroglyphs was supposed to depict how the ancient Indians trapped the deer herd.
