Eastman E6OM - Acoustic Blues Jam
Raw blues jam on my Eastman.
This guitar sounds fantastic in Eb tuning.
The more I play it the better it seems to get.
For $750 (used) this is a hard to beat!

Eastman E6OM Acoustic Guitar Demo

Nothing like a new guitar jam! In comes the E6OM. I’ve been mostly playing dreadnoughts, but I’ve decided to part ways with my Recording King. This thing is going to be hard to beat. Id say in warming up to her very quickly. It is so snappy and it sounds great! Eastman guitars are really nice sounding! Obviously, you won’t hear the true sound with this iPhone recording, but it may give you an i...

Not sure this was worth posting with all the messups and my son chatting away toward the end. These aren’t rehearsed so they kind of just come out the way they do-Just like a jam should . Bleed on!

I might buy one. been looking for a 000 with rosewood. I tried the ro-318 but I didn't like it as much as my Eastman
@@imdaroger I’ve bit the Eastman bug myself. They are fine instruments. From my experience both are great. I guess it just boils down to the neck, and whether you like the v or not.
@@Thed8lyblues I forgot the recording king had a extreme v shape neck. I actually quite liked it but the sound from the hog 318 just wasnt for me.
Badass. I want a new electric...been thinking about these. I'd want to drop Gibson p90s in it, but yours sounds incredible
@@BubblesJrJr pretty great pickups! Probably don’t even need to swap them. Thanks for stopping by!
I'd like to get one as well.
@@cable46 you should! I got mine on Reverb for a fair price. I’m a big fan of this Eastman. It is super easy to play too.
@@Thed8lyblues Cool. Thanks for the info, I'll keep an eye out for a deal.
I like that you put it out there. It is nice to listen to you noodle.
@@alhorn6373 thanks for stopping by!
This definitely competes with the big boys! I would say it is closest to the sound of a Martin D45. Great clarity and strong low end.
Agreed! This is one of the guitars I have held onto the longest, and I always find myself playing it. Im sure the Martin d-45 sounds awesome too, but this is a great guitar for the money!
@@Thed8lyblues Course- throwing in some SRV didn’t hurt! Great playing is the key and you have it!
@@danstune thank you!!🙏
Very Nice! Appreciate the video; guitar and plying sound great.
Thank you for stopping by!
I noticed you converted it to a lefty. Did you swap out bridge and nut? The reason I'm asking is I am considered doing this with an RO 328 and now see someone did the exact thing Im considering doing since lefties don't have many choices. Good playing by the way.
I’m not lefty lol. I think the camera just makes it look that way. Sorry i can’t be more help. Appreciate you stopping by!
Lol. Well, thanks for the reply.
Nice playing and recording. How do you feel about this guitar? Seems like some think it is comparable to the Martin D-28, for 1/4 the cost. What is your assessment? Thanks!
Thank you! The iRig acoustic isn’t a terrible option for quick recording. I can’t say I have ever played a D-28. However, based on the price, it’s a pretty great deal. Very clear and resonant in my opinion, not too bright. I also installed a K&K and it sounds great plugged in. I hope to record a new demo soon.
Hi, I've enjoyed watching your videos. What model Martin guitar are you playing in this video? How does it compare to the Recording King ones in your opinion? Could you please detail your favorites or at least your "go-to" guitar. Thanks! 😀
Hi, thanks for watching. This is a D-18. Both are great guitars, but different beasts. They sound great played aggressively and finger picked in my opinion. I’m not sure which I would choose because they both are great. However, the RK is quite a great deal as far as price goes. I also love my J45 as another guitar to explore. Would probably choose the J45 over the D18 for playability. Great neck!
Very nice!
Thank you for stopping by!
Wonderful player, congratulations. I love this guitar. I have one and love it so much😊❤
Thank you! Great guitar!
do you change the pickguard?
No; that is the one it came with
@@Thed8lyblues I bought a recording king rd 342 and the pickguard covers the abalone rosette
@@pepe3675 That is odd. Maybe I got lucky! Lol
Which model strat is that ?
It’s a Partscaster, but essentially just a Mexican Fender Strat
Super good! Subscribing! Also, where is the place to learn the blues, so much of it is obscure and has no tabs
Thanks for stopping by! If you learn the minor pentatonic scale you will be at a good starting point. Play over a lot of blues backing tracks. You may want to listen to a blues inspiration and then jam afterwards. A lot comes down to feel too.
@@Thed8lyblues I guess that’s why so many blues legends don’t have any tabs with them, you just gotta play. I’ll look into that scale. Thanks

Nice playing! I just picked up a used 318, should have it in a few days - looking forward to it :)
Thank you!! I’m sure you will enjoy it!
Great tone!!
I bought a 2020 Epi LP Special used that was modded practically to the hilt...only the GraphTech nut and pickguard remain intact stock. The previous owner wanted to get it as close as possible to original 1955 Gibson specs, even down to replicas of a period correct truss rod cover and jack plate! The boutique pickups are wound to exact specs, plus 50's wiring, CTS Vintage Taper pots and paper in oil caps; it sounds incredible! The thing I really love about it is the clean tones more than overdriven; you can go from full-on raunch to clean and sweet with just a slight roll off of the volume control. The chunky neck is also a huge plus!
Do you still need to mute with the keyboard hand like in the electric guitar?
Are you referring the fretting hand? Id say it depends on what sound you are going for and how much noise you want.
Got a recording tip - don’t use your phone. Use a proper set up if you’d be demoing a guitar - condenser mic pointed at the 12th fret connected to an audio interface connected to a laptop/computer, captured in a DAW. A bit of reverb, EQ and compressor and you’ve captured/mixed the sound properly. Cool playing, terrible sound demo tho. Phones can’t capture sound properly. This recording just doesn’t do the guitar justice at all. Capture video with the phone, audio with proper rig and edit in a video editing app like iMovies or whatever, but when demoing a musical instrument obviously the sound is the most important thing. That’s a bit like taking a photo of Mona Lisa with an early Nokia camera - you can see it’s Mona Lisa but it’s so heavily pixelated that it loses all the detail and character of the painting.
Thank you for the suggestion! One day, I’ll give this a try when I have a computer!
W
Reminds me of old school RUclips :)
Let’s bring it back 😜
Nice playing. Wish we could have seen a bit more of the guitar, though.
I’ve got some videos on my page if you want to see the guitar. The shorts clip so much!
i love this sm ❤
Raw dawg
Only way!
Sounds good!!
Shame the bald guy got his head in the frame toward the end, otherwise 😎
Not the bald spot!
@@Thed8lyblues yes it’s as clear as day, read Mr Euins statement then look at Oswald’s mugshot, place his head looking down into the sight and you’ll realise that the description he gave is very accurate.
So nice jam , on of SRV best ... great man !
Thank you!
Good sound love the filter
🤣
😂😂😂
Bad ass
Thank you!
I ordered my pedal 5 months ago… still haven’t gotten it. I think I’m just going to cancel as the guy never replies. What a scam.
Mine took a little over a month so you may want to follow up. It’s a rad pedal, and would suggest given it another try. They have been very responsive via Instagram. Have you tried reaching out to them there?
Thank you for the presentation. How do you find the short scale when compared to OM. How do you find headroom and projection when compared to a Dread?
No problem! I have never played an OM so I cannot compare. The size feels nice though. In my opinion, definitely not as loud as a dreadnaught but has good projection and sustain for the size.
u gonna upgrade any of the pins or nut
I upgraded the nut and didn’t hear much difference personally. I didn’t get around to upgrading the pins.
cool guitar where u buy what store
It’s a nice guitar. I got it used which I would recommend. Found it for under $500
Check out Reverb
I would say it sounds just like a Gibson, but it has it’s own character, sounds good
Nice cool licks...
Rock on!
Love my souped up Epiphone LP.
I have this. Having tried both tiers, I think it's well worth going with the 342 over the 328 models. The abalone bordering, inlays, and ebony, plus the polyurethane finish is much better. Looking forward to how it will open up over the next several years. Before ever dealing it, I'd probably buy a second one to mod. Maybe nitro the top and use different nut/saddle materials, get a different sound to work with
Sick! Glad you are having a similar experience. I would be curious to know what they sound like with a thinner nitro finish. Seems like a big project, but may be worth it. I agree, it has been a great guitar for the price! Thanks for stopping by.
Awesome! You will have a lot of fun with it.
Just got one for Christmas gift and I love it. Plays easy and sounds great
nice guitar man, keep practicing scales ;)
Indeed, that's the plan!
Just Rec'd one from Sweetwater-after a succession of cigar box&a kit gtr.,I truly forgot what a Deal these are.!a singing guitar!!
Very nice playing 👍
Thanks for stopping by!
Wonderful pickups!
Nice basic blues playing there bud.
I’ll take it! Thanks!
☑️ nice _wish more of the beauty of the guitar esthetic was shown ❗️☻️
Maybe I can make that happen :)
☑️ so I did just buy the RK RO-342 passing up on the Eastman E8OM which was in the same price range but also more readily available in the market than the RK Elite series _hope I did it right ⁉️ 🤔 🥸 🤓 🤑
@@HiggaionSelah_EWFMG I don’t know about the Eastman. However, I love this guitar so I hope you do too!
Great playing my friend 👍
Thank you for watching!
We want more videos with the ro-342! Great playing!
Very kind! I’ll have to make another one soon!
I have one of those, love it but they don't make them anymore. My sounds great and i think they are called the d 10 now or d12. Just bought a Martin D18, can't beat it as it sounds awesome.
Yeah, I ended up getting rid of it, was definitely bummed. I grabbed the d10, pretty much identical, just with the built in tuner. I’m sure the d18 sounds great!
