I really enjoy the twinkle in his eye and rye sense of humor that Poulenc often shows in his music. This performance is excellent. The level of musical synergy is high! I have never heard a rounder, warmer bassoon sound!

A stunning performance of this piece. When I think about improving my phrasing, vibrato and interpretation I always want to listen to the best. These musicians are the best and Elizabeth Tiscione is my favorite these days. So many great oboists to listen to today but I always return to the magical playing of Tiscione.

Great playing. I get fussy about how people play this one, and this is just great -- beautiful and no nonsense. BTW, the video glitches make me think of The Ring the horror movie. Like seven days after I watch this, the Chopin 2nd scherzo is going to kill me. Or you're going to crawl out of my piano.

At 5'31" the way you handle the tenor voice B that gets obscured by the A; I'm stealing your trick. I just leave off the A. Gorgeous playing Alex.
