The Christmas Tree: Christmas Eve in the Ukraine (1975)
Просмотров 2962 года назад
A young boy gets lost in the cold forest on Christmas Eve, but is rescued by an old man and brought home to his family.. This is a heart-warming tale that was shot at Canukr Studios near Courtice, Ontario and done in English. It also stars "The Forest Rangers" acting legend MIchael Zenon (aka Joe Two Rivers). The grainy picture adds to its nostalgia. This film was lost to time until recently

Gretzky is a Trunp supporter. Stay in the USA you traitor.
I grew up on Court Street. The train would always run nearby. ❤😢
i was at the catering table yeah
Fabulous!❤️😀 I have been looking for this show for many years. Old top favourite and a timeless classic of a beautiful precious life with the most charming dog and Frou Gerber💖🤗💝. Thankyou so much!☮️💟🖖CC. So sweet😊
Panasonic: just slightly ahead of our time… but not too much lol
The blonde 19 year-old didn’t amount too much. He had so much potential. Apparently he wouldn’t go woke so the league banned him for life.
Loved it took me back to the 80s
Excellent footage thanks for posting
What a goober Ftorek wearing his helmet
From 2002 but watched this series like 12 years ago
12:07 that old steam ship horn was an added sound effect, that real ships horn is a kalenberg s203 style air horn 😊
Is that Frank Calliendo?!
Was that Mike Palmateer in net? I think so cause every shot went in.
Tiny goalies
Where was this held...at the local rink? This would have sold tickets at Maple Leaf Gardens back then. Gretzky and Bossy were just getting started.
I love Peter Puck 🥹🥰
The no. 1 and 3 all time points per game leaders.
R.I.P. Mr Mike Bossy.
I was 14 when I started watching hockey I was one of the fortunate to watch Mike Bossy play. The man who could flip the puck up on end and score.I have 3 of the 4 Stanley cup Champion Islanders on the Trentonian newspaper.
That Gretzky kid will never amount to anything.
He scored more goals than anyone in NHL history but never had a good wrist shot. He just knew where to be to score goals that didn’t require a hard shot. Truly a hockey genius.
Его имя Мишель Босси- франко-канадец! Мечтал о Монреале, попал в Айлендерс- стал Майком
And won 4 Stanley cups and since the start of his rookie year he almost had 10 straight 50 plus goal seasons save for the 10th season where he got only 38 ….Yeah I mean only 38 which is awesome by todays caliber. Then retired due to a messed up back after the 10th . In some of those seasons he cracked 60 or more goals and almost had 70 in a few .
Nyet....I knew his cousins he was ukranian ~ Irish & French.
Peter Puck!!!
wow i feel damn old
You are pal.
Your mother is older . But once she takes out those dentures , man can she really gum that knob .
thanks for reminding me
@@donniedoesdishes don’t worry . That dude still skeets in his shorts every time a chick touches him .
It's a blessing as many never get to feel that you know
Hard to tell reed from the pylons. 😅😂
Ftorek older than all these guys and faster. Had to be close to 30 yrs old here. Boston boy!
Ohhh man where did u boys dig this up,? Soon as I saw the title ,I remembered this ,couldnt have been more than 13 or 14,good memories, thk you
Anyone know what happened the kid from Edmonton the commentators mentioned?
He turned to be first overall in points, second overall in goals and spawned a hot daughter
@r3tr0actiongamer24 So I guess he did okay after all. Lol
@@r3tr0actiongamer24he's still first in goals btw.
@@r3tr0actiongamer24 Ovie hasn’t yet passed Wayne yet in total career goals , that is if you are speaking future wise when it comes to Wayne here , but Ovie still has to break it first nevertheless and as close as he is getting there are still no guarantees . I still want to see Ovie break it though and Wayne present when it happens. Anyway Wayne has more total assists than any other player ever has total pts combined of goals and assists . Thats simply nuts man. That record will in fact never ever be broken . Until Bettman perhaps adds yet another 12 gimmicks to the league which really , and I mean really , opens up scoring.
This is the proof that Reed Larson was better than Gretzky 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
markham centennial arena?
goaltending has come aloooooooonnnggg way dont give me the equipment excuse either . this guy edwards wouldnt make third string ahl team today
Wrong
Taking players from one era and placing them in another era is MORONIC speculation for the feeble-minded dimwits.
Hockey wouldn't be on TV if it wasn't for these guys. Give your head a shake.
You ever see what happened to Edwards later in life? Now pipe down judging someone about a competition that didn't mean much
@@ZexeezTwitchI take Plante over modern day any time.each pad today is 4 feet wide.
Mike Bossy was a goofy looking goof
Goofy comment
OK, goof.
It’s true .
@sergiocalcio9481 Nobody named Sergio is allowed to talk shit about any hockey player, ever.
@@BadGoy1488 Go kick your soccer ball around, turdworlder.

Why does the actor in the Panasonic commercial look like John C. Reilly, who was in Talledaga Nights: The Story of Ricky Bobby? Asking for a friend. Oh yeah, great memories of "Showdown."
But Dad it’s Shark Week !
I thought it was him
Now explain to me, why are all the kids barefoot?
Yup Gretzky wasnt great at any individually defined aspect but with that brain edge and passing he was the best offensive player ever by a mile.
Sorry friend, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. This is a very limited exhibition that really does not display the skill set of these players. By this display, Mike Bossy apparently had no skill (which is absurd). Gretzky's amazing skill set always gets massively undervalued. He was a phenomenal skater. No one moved like him on the ice, he was so far ahead of his time. His edge-work, agility and balance were far superior to anyone else in the league, and he had deceptive breakaway speed and great speed in picking the pockets of defenders. He had the best all-around slap shot in the history of the game. He was as accurate with his slap shot as the most accurate wrist shots of anyone, and it was much harder than people gave him credit for (ask Mike Vernon). His backhand shot was second to none. He was also one of the greatest puck handlers in the history of the game. He could stick handle in a phone booth and skate through the entire team. However, he picked his moments to do that, because it was far more efficient and lethal to play a team game. The puck (and thus the game) moves a lot faster by passing and using every man on the ice. He was much more dangerous by moving the puck quickly, and that also allowed him to play far more minutes than had he always relied on his individual skill. People need to invest some time in re-watching old Oilers and Kings games, because the man was absolutely mesmerizing every night, doing things that no one else could or had done, and displaying skills that no one else had.
@@kranmaster Sorry Friend--i watched every Oiler's game in the 80s and all the international games. You may be mistaking my comments as denigrating from Gretzky-in fact i am marvelling at his achievement---his brains and competitiveness spurred him to be the greatest...as for slap shot--come on---he did get the goalies moving and shot against the flow of play and he did disguise his shot well but he wouldn't even be in the top 100 of players in that era as far as a slapshot--likley was 90 miles an hour at best...but his brain made up for it. I hope i have explained myself better.
@@turftraining2729 Ok, whatever you say bud. I can see this is pointless.
I will take orr any day.not even close

Stephen Young later hosted the first season of 'Just Like Mom'...Fergie Olver (who also did many Toronto Blue Jays baseball games on TV until the early 1990s) replaced him after season one!
Thanks for posting this!!
The 80s was so special took it for granted
