Some More Thoughts: 1. Yeesh! That field is in terrible condition! I feel so sorry for all the corps that had to march on it that day! Having marched at the 2014 Kempsville Classic, I know that terrible feeling when your shoes sink into the mud! 2. That front ensemble is perhaps the most unique front ensemble I've ever seen! Most American front ensembles have two metal keyboards (glockenspiel and vibraphone), two wooden keyboards (xylophone and marimba), a drum-set, timpani (sometimes), and 🤢🤮 a synthesizer. Meanwhile, Manuel Luis Quezon has all metal keyboards. There's some glockenspiels and some alto bells, but I can not figure what the rest of the keyboards are! I really enjoy their sound! 3. Countless marching bands and drum corps, both in America and the Philippines, have played Bohemian Rhapsody. Why? I have no idea. The ones that I remember off the top of my head are 1979 Madison Scouts, 2004 Carolina Crown, 2011 Carolina Crown, 2024 Perquimans County Marching Pirates, and 2024 Caraga Regional Science High School Sayansay Blue Elites. 4. My only nitpick with the show is at 6:26, the snare drummers do a lot of rim clicks to simulate hitting a closed hi-hat. I think it would have been cool if the cymbal player choked their cymbals moved themself near the snare drummers, so the snare drummers could hit the cymbals and get a perfect hi-hat sound. Spirit of Atlanta did something like that in 1979: ruclips.net/video/kfTkNA6C9Ns/видео.htmlfeature=shared Alternatively, they could have mounted small hi-hats on the snare drums, for the same effect. Cox Marching Falcons in 2015, and our snare drums had small hi-hats mounted on them.

Some thoughts: 1. Santa Clara Vanguard, a drum and bugle corps from Santa Clara, California, USA, played Phantom of the Opera in 1988 and 1989. 2. I'm not a fan of how the tenors/quads/multi-toms are tuned. It's too low for my liking. 3. The bass drum feature at 4:45 is overwritten and doesn't flow well, musically speaking. 4. Audiences at drum corps and marching band competitions in the Philippines are much more lively than the USA's tepid audiences!
