Enjoyed this John! Thanks for posting it! The history is fascinating, something has to linger with so many years and possible tragedies. The town close by being flooded was interesting to me..here in Utah in the 1980’s we had a town about 3 hours south of SLC that was prone to floods, for whatever reason it was decided for BLM to claim eminent domain and told everyone in this small town of Thistle they had to leave. They were given a little money and just like that the town became a lake… even today houses, barns and various structures sit at the bottom. I think there’s even a small graveyard there too… I’d never heard of another town having that happen before. Always enjoy seeing you investigate John, you have such a calm nature, spirits seem naturally drawn to you. Stay safe my friend! 👍🏻🥰Jil
