Very long pause at the end to celebrate! This was my FIRST ATTEMPT
Curious about "Don't want anything from Apollo" at the end of Erebus as Perfect Image is just free damage, Super Nova and Back Burner both have positives even if marginal, and his legendary would be quite strong even if you had to take Nova Strike for it. You generally have an abundance of gold in this game, so the opportunity cost of buying a boon from him at that point seems pretty low; I don't think 150g would have made a difference at any future point in the run. Fight Fight Fight is never active for any bonus for Chronos, as you likely know (as there are always 3 more fields rooms, fountain room, and 7 Tartarus rooms before Chronos); not sure how much of a difference that extra HP usually makes in the rooms beforehand?
The damage Apollo can give is marginal indeed, and the risk of having 90 gold after buying his boon is too high to be worth it. I'm looking to buy Spark of Ixion after this and any Special/Cast/Omega/Speed boost in the well of Charon, which will cost gold too. I might not encounter any gold until Oceanus midshop where I definitely want to be able to buy an Aphrodite boon (high prio for Sunny Disposition) Also unfortunately Apollo legendary does not work with Giga Cleaver. It does not fire a second special. For Fight Fight Fight you're right, in an ideal run you don't pick it. I got it to calm my nerves and help with the Cerberus fight to make sure I don't die (dying resets heart breaker and is a big time loss in that fight)

gg - great run! I was curious why nimble limbs is the best thing hermes could offer (and not nimble mind)? Also noticed you forgo channel speed for sprint speed at chaos, but that makes sense for mourning fields.
@@shreshthanigans channel speed unfortunately does not work on Charon's omega special! Special speed works on the omega special. It is a bit weird like that. That's why the epic special speed from Hermes was the best thing as it was a multiplicative 20% DPS increase!

Why did the timer stop at 4:28?
It's an Artemis encounter. Timer stops during it. You can tell which room you will encounter Artemis as the enemies are not prespawned and the timer stops

How did you get two poseidon boons after the first mini?
If you have the arcana "Artificer" and you get the boon "Ocean's Bounty" in a miniboss room it drops some ash and psyche. Using an Artificer arcana roll on those always gives a Poseidon boon

why do you save gold until the end just to not spend it at the last charon?
@@what_could_be With the Hera+Poseidon duo boon (Golden Rule) you do more damage the more gold you have

heartrate started with 80 and in the end it was 160 amazing
I saw the timer entering Chronos and knew I would have to pull the fastest Chronos kill across all patches to get the World Record and I said to myself "Ah, just get the fastest kill ever, no biggie right?" and then I started realising it might actually be happening and my adrenaline started pumping haha

Why not go for Hook Knifes? Do they have a weird interaction with the other special hammer u had? Also same question about White Antler. Nice run btw. Congrats on world record.
I found that channeling the O-special faster saves more time than using hook knives, which don't trigger Poseidon's splash. Increasing your attack speed is multiplicative for DPS, while hook knives just adds damage. It also helps in channeling more against Cerberus and Chronos, whose attacks can stagger you through barriers.

Yeah haha, I find it fun to check where I'm at 😂. I reached 170 once after dying to a Chronos bug at the end of a fresh file run
