Bikepacking in Sweden and Denmark
This video is a compilation of footage filmed over the course of 13 days, during which I cycled through Sweden and Denmark. In the beginning, I have included a couple of clips of crossing the Baltic Sea on a ferry from Finland.
My first impression of Sweden was that the weather was much warmer, and the cycling routes were diverse, including gravel and narrow forest paths in addition to paved asphalt roads.
Sweden had some of the best sunsets, many golf courses, and humid air before noon. I also had to visit a bike workshop to have the rear shifter cable replaced as it had gotten torn. In Denmark, I spent only three nights; it was warmer, but the air was still damp.

Bikepacking in Lapland and Norway - Part 3 Returning to Finland
Просмотров 514Месяц назад
In this video, I'm cycling from Norway to Lapland and, at the end, taking the train to get to the southern part of Finland. When leaving Magerøya Island, the weather was good, and the sea was calm, unlike when I arrived here during a storm and rain. Going back toward Finland, I encountered some days with a headwind, but after experiencing the harsh weather in Nordkapp, this was bearable. Along ...
Bikepacking in Lapland and Norway - Part 2 Exploring Magerøya and Nordkapp
Просмотров 90Месяц назад
In this episode, I cycled on Magerøya Island from a campsite to Nordkapp, the northernmost point in Europe that can be reached by road. Then, I visited Skarsvåg, the northernmost fishing village in the world, and finally returned. It was a mostly sunny day, with strong winds (sometimes headwind) and light rain on the return trip. There were two major climbs on the way to Nordkapp, but I decided...
Bikepacking in Lapland and Norway - Part 1 On the way to Magerøya Island

In this video, I cycle from Lapland's capital, Rovaniemi, to Magerøya Island. Coming from the south, where it was warmer, in Rovaniemi, at 21 degrees Celsius, my first impression was that winter was approaching. The sky was cloudy and dark, and the locals were dressed in coats. I tried some of the bakery products; they were very delicious and addictive, with a taste similar to Christmas sweets....

Cycling through various weather conditions, mostly sunny but with some rain and wind as well. #bikepacking #traveling #adventure #latvia #estonia
Bikepacking from Warsaw to Zarasai

It took ten days of cycling and one rest day to reach my destination in the northern part of Lithuania, Zarasai. Among the challenges were strong winds persisting for two days, unpaved sandy roads, and cycling in the rain. Fatigue started to set in during the last couple of days, even though I was sleeping well and had started eating better. However, once the sun started to set, my energy level...

From Geoagiu-Băi started going on the main asphalt road, then continued on forest roads till Săcărâmb. On the way back picked another route that goes through the nearby forests which seemed remote and wild. #gravelbike #bicycleriding #transilvania #hunedoara #nature #forest
Mór Jókai Memorial Endurance Bicycle Tour - 11.05.2024

This is a beautiful bike tour in Transylvania, with the option to select the second half of the track. To get the most beautiful view, and one of its main attraction points, it's recommended to climb the Szeklers Stone. It's a steep climb with some push bike sections, but the view it's all worth it. On the way there are multiple checkpoints where you can refuel with water and on a few of them w...
Two days solo bikepacking at Belis-Fantanele lake
Просмотров 637 месяцев назад
A weekend bikepacking escape from Cluj to Belis-Fantanele lake with camping close to the lake. First day spent about 7.5 hours getting to a place I've camped before. Climbed over 1000m in altitude. Encountered unexpected challenges like a broken front shifter, which I managed to fix. It got dark when I arrived and I got cold a bit. After having dinner I've made a fire to warm up, then took a go...

I already had a bad feeling when I first saw the drone following you in the woods 🫣 Glad to see it's still working after the crash! ✌

Me too :D I wasn't that relaxed on the bike. But at least I learned that I have to be more careful and not rely completely on the drone sensors.

Great video Attila! How many km have you pedaled so far from home? Are you returning on your bicycle?

Thank you! As of this video, I have cycled around 3400 kilometers. I also took two trains and a ferry to get this far. After this video, I took another train and another ferry to get further south, and from there, the plan is to cycle back home.

Amazing, do you have anything to protect yourself against chasing dogs? I love biking, but some scary situations where I was chased by packs of dogs put me off long journeys like yours.

Thanks. Nope. I was thinking on bringing bear spray but in the end it didn't make the list.
