You need a Teaching degree in order to teach, If your Bachelor didn’t qualify you to teach then you won’t be able to get your Teaching license.

Hi prachi hope you are doing well I just came across on your video by searching OCT license on RUclips I want to become teacher in Canada but but not to sure how can i start main concern for me is sending transcripts direct from university the thing is I am studying MBA in Canada Back in india. i Did Bachelor of Arts(BA) And then bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in hindi. Now i do have my documents like my Marksheets My provisional certificates But my university is not as much aware of doing things and sending documents to internationally what should i do now Can you just give me what the exactly things oct wants to get from our university where we completed our studies. Hi Vishakha, Email your university, ask them the process of sending the documents(transcript) internationally. Usually universities charge more fee, but they do provide the option of mailing the transcript directly to OCT. OCT wants the documents to be sent directly from the university, they want the documents to be authentic that’s why they are always asking for that. You can also call OCT directly and share your concerns and ask them for their recommendation. Hope it helps! :)

Hi Himani, You have to ask your university to mail it directly to OCT. And for language too, You have to ask your university to type a letter saying that you did you BEd in English .Hope it helps!:)

Hi Sushma, I would recommend you to call OCT directly, they will guide you properly. If you have your teaching degree you should be able to start your application with OCT. Ielts get expired in 2 years, check the expiry date, you many have to give another one. Check this page for language proficiency. www.oct.ca/becoming-a-teacher/requirements/proficiency. Hi Ravina, So you did your Bachelor of education in hindi? Could you please explain more so I can understand your question properly. Usually in Bed program you learn how to teach different subjects, Did you only learn to teach hindi language ?

You only need Ielts if your language of instruction while doing Bed was not in English. If your language of instruction while doing your Bed was in English, then you can ask your university to write a letter saying that” The Bed program was taught in English”.
