Pressing the 'page up' or 'page down' key will move the timeline indicator one frame back or forward, if you have keyframes in place, pressing 'j' or 'k' will move the indicator line directly onto that keyframe. Hope this helps, and thank you for watching! 😄

As a preset, you can adjust the length of the layer itself for the total time it's up on screen, and then decide how many frames you want the fade out and in to be. Thanks for watching! 😄

I think it was the 2018 or 2019 version at the time I made this, but since I upgraded AE it's definitely less stable. I do miss the days when software use to come in a box and we could use it for years and years. Nowadays with software essentially required to be upgraded yearly, sometimes because of the OS itself being forced to upgrade, stability is always an issue.

@@aejustthebasics completely agree i hate 2024 and 2023 really.. pirating 2021 at the moment just because it was so much more stable than the newer ones, and less slugish

With something like this, the right hand would have to be masked out and independently animated, the thing with the puppet tool is it's basically a more streamlined version of mesh warp, but with points to animate with. It's basically stretching and pulling everything as a single image. Morphing it. Puppet tool is best used in a pinch for general work, especially if there's a ton of characters to animate. But for detailed animating of characters, it's probably better to go with manually animating pivot points.

Thank you for watching! Once you roto something, the background is automatically removed, but best to always pre-render your rotoscopes, and bring it back into the project, that way AE won't have to keep using memory to process the rotobrush

You Can also freeze the rotobrush

Hi @ladyunicorn82, that's a good idea, I should make a tutorial for that one day, but I would recommend the fastest way to make one of those would be to get some footage from websites like pexels.com or pixabay.com. When it comes to ambience or asmr, rain seems to be the most popular. And pixabay specifically has free rain sounds. Then combine them together in AE, loop the video for anywhere between 15 min to a few hours and that should do it. Good luck! And thank you so much for watching my tutorial! 😄

Hi @ladyunicorn82, AE is pretty straighforward to use if you already know PS. Think of After Effects as Photoshop that moves, it functions on the same principles, layers with layer modes, transparencies, effects, etc. The only thing is the animation variable which involves keyframes. Start with importing a psd file into after effects and you'll see how it translates quite seamlessly. Hope this helps! 😄
