Pine Creek Logging
Добавлен 22 окт 2012
Started piece cutting with a borrowed chainsaw and chaps. Worked my ass off to buy my own equipment twelve years later. This channel is a glimpse into my day to day life as a logger in Michigan's Upper Peninsula .

Sht 😮
Got him out. Had pull him out backwards. He was so deep , standing on the ground by back bunk I was almost as tall as the top of his stake. Rut was up well past my waist.
Looks like you are preparing it
@kob3066 always run my preheater in the winter.
When the giant did start it broke down
that felllerbuncher makes short work of them trees. once the tree starts tipping, could it hold it up?are them bolts for the paper mill? thats the size they want or any size works?
@claytonjohn6473 No I couldn't hold these trees up. This machine is a dangle head harvester. It cuts them down, delimbs, and cuts to desired lengths The trees are between 12"-16" in diameter where i grab them. Cut a 100 " bolt down to 5" for 2×4 pre cut studs. Potlatch bolts. Anything that won't make a bolt goes to pulp.
@pinecreeklogging Thats an impressive machine. Expensive I bet. So when your fallin trees, a guys gotta be careful your in a good position and it wont come down on ya
@@pinecreeklogging That be the ticket. Have a sawmill at home and a pole barn to stack lumber with slats in between. Any lumber wholesaler is always willing to at least hear about a deal on board feet
@claytonjohn6473 yeah and plan the right angle for your pile. It's like balancing a pool cue on your finger. Move the bottom opposite way you want the top to go.
When logging years ago I cut one that looked like a belled beer mug about 2 foot high and 8 inches across! Went to get it at the end of the day and it was gone , nobody knew anything about it!
You should keep that
@rickymack01 like the title implies i cut the handle off and threw it in pulp pile. 60 miles from home I'm not bringing home souvenirs. Just would end up getting cut up for firewood. I have big butt outs from birdeyes hanging around staining up already.
FIX THE LEAK AND STOP PISOING THE GROUND . HYDRO FLUID ID A PART OF FOREVER CHEMICALS. WHAT AN ASS
Can somebody please give this man a beer😂
Does he run it 100%?
@jacobhedmark5139 ramps are set wide open. Boom moves like it's a liquid.
I HAVE NEVER SEEB THIS ALL THE YEARS I WORKED IN THE WOODS
@JayCharland-lg5bz pretty wild it grew back together so well. One heart no seem on top side.
Nice, natural graft
Mad man..
Hell yeah great stack
Rod keeps a tidy land .
Indians done it
Ngl it would be going in the back of the truck for sure.
That’s a keeper….
Natures way of saying get off early from work and go chase deer with your bow 😅
Its not that bad. It will buff out😮
That’s a keeper
Bring it home
That is neat as a climber I’ve only seen it happen a few times
Glad you’re okay! That thing Is destroyed.
Yeah my truck definitely got the worse of it. Their rental truck was still driveable.
Lest you are good.. trucks are replaceable
I bet you say that exact same thing when you meet up with a trucker at a rest area.
@rogerholt7837 lol funny man. Keyboard warrior look out.
chunky tree
The whole site seems to be big. Having to much fun to get any action videos.
Reckless kelly nice
Need another worker? 😁
Amazing views!
If I was a guessing man I’d say that faller is down because the roller is busted . Just my opinion
What? 😂
😅😂
Jesse pinkman
😂. I think jeese pinkman would be about half my size.
Good ol rod!
@@northofthemasondixon8258 man is an animal. Keeps two harvesters and a piece cutter cleaned up.
Dude, keep doing your thing 💪🏾
tiny peckers
Who doesn’t cut alloys with a processor? That’s what it’s for…here in Northern Michigan everyone does…
Right? Works pretty well, eh? Some southern clowns talking shit. Their ignorance blows by mind.
@calspaugh8078 but I will say the saw does have its place. I did run on an all sawyer crew for a few years in old Goodman timber. We shit out the logs, but the timber was huge.
One question. Are th limbs and brush left as is or are they processed?
Merchandise the straight pieces in top down to 3" for pulp. Ends up looking pretty tidy when we are done. To the left is cut.
That is so cool to see.
Hab ich schon schneller gesehen ,oder Zeitlupe?😅😊
Maybe some of both. I was going slow because hard maple is really heavy and the tree might pull out of head otherwise.
What became of r2-d2, after his acting days were through...
Super awesome
Pine Creek Logging, cool video you deserve more views
Thanks. I guess I just enjoy making videos. If it was about the views, I would have given up a long time ago.
ЛІС ЛЕГЕНІ ПЛАНЕТИ, гитко дивитись як знищують природу
Nice
Show yourself planting trees and I'll give you a nice comment.
@dadanny187 some of the cuts in the video will be replanted. One site was bought by an established gravel pit next door, and the selling family (was there almost 100 years) wanted the timber they grew to be brought to market before the sale. Most of the timber I harvest is on SFI certified and every other certified corporate land. They manage the timber, and I harvest the timber. When I do bring a private sale to the market and it makes sense to replant , I do. This spring, I spent a day throwing in 1500 trees I paid for on two different sales I did the year prior. Planted 10s of thousands in my early 20s when my time was less valuable. Just don't feel the need to show those parts and pat myself on the back.
Helping the deoxygenation of the planet, nice... Hope you're proud that you're inevitably killing the planet.
Near luce county maybe?
Iron County. Cable lake rd north of Amasa
Song "the trees" would be more suitable
FernGully never stood a chance.
@IdleByte it was a poorly planted plantation 30 something years old. Pretty far from natural. But if FernGully had big timber, I'd smacked that down too.
Maybe Rush’s “Trees”?
Maybe all I know is most people wouldn't of liked what I was listening to in my cab while I filmed. Kanye West graduation cd. Stronger on repeat all day. 😂
No thinning for future harvest or management just clear cut
@budl4656 lol. What if it's s clear cut to replant plantation because it missed its thinning cycle and was poorly planted?
