Great design ; But with engine G&E F 404 (same engine is heart well known T-50 Golden Eagle ~ South Korea and new Boing~Saab T 7A Rad Hawk with two verticals) there is no possibility to rsach 2 mach. It sam to me that Serbia in near future gong to choise wich aircraft with this engine is going to by. First interes bdfore ~ 4 years was T 7 A. Now its look closer that we see proven T-50 Golden Eagle with supercrise option without afterburber and next option is coopdratin with Turkeu in production of HURJET ; There is only 2 prototype of T 7A Rad Hawk. Time is money. That why is T-50 or HURJET closer. Whatever decission is on USA couse heart of all these great plane is G&E F 404. Maximimum sppeed of T-50 is over 1,5 mach. There is 3 basic types of G&E F 404. Most possrfull we van se on F-18 Super Hornet (twin engine of furder development F-414).

However, it is not an exception in its technical specifications and high manufacturing standards from other western fighters aircraft, which bring many superior capabilities to the table and are marketed at a similar or even cheaper prices...

The information is off. It was originally powered by the Allison V-1710 engine, which was ok at lower altitudes but lacked performace above 10k altitude. It was only when a british test pilot got his hands on the first prototype to test fly that he said it's a lovely aircraft but a Merlin powerplant would be perfect for it to get it running nice at high altitudes. The british and americans worked on converting it over to the merlin with the two stage supercharger, which enabled it to climb to altitude twice as fast and have more power in general. It reached 441 mph in level flight, which back then was very impressive! Packard made the 2 stage supercharger merlins under license to plonk in the p51 aircraft which "Transformed them" into an awesome high altitude bomber escort fighter, and all round good bird.
