My favourite river | Lower Guisane | Spade Barracuda
This is by far one of my favourite runs in the French Alps. After the floods, it was our first descent. It was a personal first descent (PFD) for Briek, and Anaïs only ran it once before at low water. They both did amazingly well.
The water level was around 30cm at the weir.

Paddling the Briançon Gorge (La Fontenil). While setting up the shuttle, the dam in the beginning released all its water to clean the intakes. This happens every two weeks, and sometimes more frequently if necessary. At 2:29, there's an outlet where you should stop and check. After the floods this summer, we paddled the Ubaye Racecourse. The water level was around 50 m³/s. It was my first time paddling a high-volume river, and it didn't disappoint. On the 4th and last day of our Easter vacation to the Jura, we paddled the upper eyrieux (P3). With a water level of 150cm this was a beautiful descent. We had a hard time finding a good spot to put in. Just after there where the road became a bicycle only road (44°51'54.3"N 4°33'12.1"E) (08/04/2024)

On the 2nd day of our Easter vacation to the Jura, we paddled the moyen Chéran (gorge). With a water level of 11m³/s, it was a nice descent. Note there is a unrunneble passage that must be portaged! Get out river left, right after the slab coming from the left bank (1:18). There is a rope to aid with the portage. The rest of the run was all clear and very beautiful.(06/04/2024)

We paddled the Gorges du Fourperet on the Doubs. It starts with a 9m dam that you can either paddle or put in right below the dam. At 2.5m³/s all the holes were friendly. We also scouted the section with 4.5m³/s but then, they were a lot more sticky. (not worth it for us)
