One aspect that I feel is often overlooked while making changes to a lifestyle is working on the mindset. I feel that we need a shift in perspective to our approach to weight loss, dieting and this mindset of restriction that often comes with a diagnosis of pre diabetes or diabetes. And I've come to realize that this is the very skill that differentiates from the people who succeed and the peop...
What a great video!!! Thank you. Forwarding this on where needed.
There's no tier 3 weight management where I live and despite meeting the NHS criteria for GLP-1 drugs, my GP can't prescribe it for me. The only way for me to get it where I live is to be under a diabetes consultant and to get referred I have to have tried 3 different drugs. I wasn't prepared to do that and so am self-funding Mounjaro and hoping it will help me complete the path to remission programme as it's my only way of getting any sort of weight loss support. I wear a self funded CGM and have noticed it lowers my average more than metformin already.
yes absolutely. You learn so much from wearing these. I often advise people to use it to guide their food choices. :)
Am I the one and only to like you? I'll always be here to support you.
Absolutely love your videos. I’m T2 and three stone over weight namely because my thyroid gland packed up years ago after it was diagnosed my doctor gave me 25mg of thyroxine and sent me away. I believed I was cured until after almost a year and gaining two more stone and going back to my doctor he then told me ‘I should have returned after six weeks for another blood test to adjust the thyroxine'. It would have been helpful to inform me of that a year earlier and I could have avoided the T2. So here I am, now on 150mg of thyroxine, controlling the carbs, etc, etc. and find I cannot lose a gram. My blood sugars are always high even with taking 80 Gliclazide a day. I seriously believe having this thyroid condition is causing may failure to get rid of fat and get back to normal. Makes me wonder how many more are in the same situation. Best regards.
