If the money they paid with was counterfeit that explains their insistence on wanting their change. Police needed to be called ASAP before all the hollering, slurs, and f bombs started. Some people need to stay home and not be out in public.

I don't know why everyone is dog-piling on the lady recording the video, I mean you can say she was annoying all you want but she didn't do anything wrong at all. The cashier wasn't giving these 2 what they were owed, she started recording while demanding her change back, and the cashier refused to give it to them. I don't blame her for not wanting to call the police because this whole thing shouldn't have gotten so blown up the way it did. Just crazy to me.

Dollar Tree Regina, SK, was one of the worst work experiences of my life. Since March of this year, the store manager has been attempting to force me out through constructive dismissal after I set boundaries and asked three female employees, including herself, not to touch me. It felt like I was dealing with a malicious force, and my mental health has been in turmoil for months since I started. During my time there, I witnessed multiple policy violations from several associates, but instead of addressing these issues, the manager chose to defend them and retaliate against me. She even admitted that she knew her associates weren’t following the rules when she wasn’t around. It became clear that she wanted me gone because I am Caucasian, and she preferred hiring mostly foreign workers like herself. This created a hostile work environment in numerous ways, and I documented my concerns in detail, including dates and times of these violations. However, when I raised these issues, the regional manager responded with more lies and discriminatory accusations against me instead of dealing with the legitimate concerns I had about my shifts being reduced for months. The manager is severely burnt out, unable to recognize her own violations of Canadian labor laws, and so narcissistic that she didn’t think I had the right to set any boundaries. Both the store and regional managers protected each other, demonstrating a level of corruption I’ve never seen before. Foreign workers seem to exploit loopholes, operating as if they’re exempt from rules and accountability, much like an unregulated street vendor. Despite filing complaints with HR, the representative refused to address these violations and instead retaliated with false accusations, leading to my termination. The manager even attempted to silence me by offering a small sum of money to prevent me from speaking out on social media, which I never agreed to. Their arrogance in firing me in clear violation of Canadian labor laws, especially when similar cases in the U.S. have led to class action lawsuits, reflects the shockingly low standards at play here in Canada.

The employee should not have refused to give them their money but the way they handled the situation was completely unacceptable and inappropriate. They should have gotten a manager and if that proved to be fruitless than they should have called the police. Screaming, yelling, swearing, and calling someone names is not the way to handle the situation.
