    The Chinese make these and other various compact industrial machines in an attempt to fool and rip off Americans on sites like Alibaba and Aliexpress. They sell these as "wholesale" for a lot more money. Anywhere from just over triple what you paid to 10x (after shipping and duty). In the last 5 years they've been making a growing movement to sell these at heavy equipment auctions now as well, especially Ritchie Bros. If you paid 2k after all was said and done, you did good, that's about what it's worth, maybe a little more. However since actual real quality name brand machines cost so much money they're able to give an illusion that this is somehow in the same class and a deal of a life time. It works really well for them because we're stupid and gobble it up hook, line, and sinker. I laugh my ass off every time I see some goober bid one of these or a Chinese 1 ton mini X up to like 8k.

    • @AbramsExcavating
      @AbramsExcavating 5 дней назад

      That makes a lot of sense. I kinda figured it was something to do with that. Like they have a lot of people hooked on this cheap equipment cause it’s within reach of the average person. I never pay much for thee Chinese equipment I buy because I am buying it to check out, fix up, review and resell. So for me To spend full retail is not financially smart. I do enjoy these cheaply built pieces of equipment just cause they are like toys to me. Especially since I own multiple “name branded” machines to actually make a living with!

      @@AbramsExcavating Yes, I buy a lot of the mini excavators when I find them cheap (around 2k) and resell them myself. However, I let all my customers know that these are cheap Chinese machines so don't have high expectations out of them but it's good when I can sell them, make a few fucks and still come in way under the online "wholesale" prices.

      @AbramsExcavating 21 день назад

      The mecalac machines are much bigger and yes I agree. They would suit an excavation contractor much better than this. They are more of an excavator that can do skid steer things. However I’ve run them, and I don’t think I’d ever buy one. I don’t see enough benefit in one for my business. Especially since most of my excavators have tilt rotators

      @ well they do offer 6-8-10 to. Models. And yea for some things skid steers will still win over in some jobs. But the beauty part about a Mecalac is less wear and tear on your under carriage. Just dont want to be replacing hoses or seals every other use eith thenolder tractors.

    • @AbramsExcavating
      @AbramsExcavating 23 дня назад

      That’s a tough call, honestly the older compact tractors are probably a more durable option. These Chinese machines are not built very well. They will get you by for random odd jobs and such but to actually do work and dig or level I don’t think it would hold up. At least with an older compact tractor You’ll have a diesel engine and something to work with if it breaks. They were designed to be repaired. Not just pushed out the door like the Chinese stuff

      I’m kinda upset I didn’t go drill a hole with it but at the same point I didn’t know what I was doing with the drill rig and didn’t wanna damage it

    I’m guessing about an hours worth of maintenance per hour of actual use type of a machine.

    sad that u couldn't keep the little Yanmar track dumper, wanted to see u rebuild-it.

      I’ve got another little Dumper I’ll be rebuilding when I get the time! This yanmar was just an awkward size for me. Too big for small back yards and too small for site work.

    Hold on... this has no front brakes at all? Man, that's indcredibly dangrerous, considering it can easily lift a payload that makes the rear axle very light

    • @AbramsExcavating
      @AbramsExcavating 26 дней назад

      That is a point I completely overlooked. It’s like having an old 2 wheel drive backhoe or tractor and going down a hill with a full bucket! Sketchy times right there. The only thing I can think of is since it’s full time 4x4 you would have some front brakes through the driveline. However it’s also full open diff sooo it could be ineffective

      @@AbramsExcavating That's a very good point, I didn't think of the 4WD. Does it have center differential? I'm assuming it does not, since it pivot steering so it may not need that, and in that case it would brake with the front tires even if the rear ones are off the ground. But even in that case, the braking would only be as effective as the less powerful brake, and you may not notice if one of the brakes is not adjusted properly as it wouln't effect normal operation on flat ground that much. So not as bad as I initially thought, but I wouldn't want to drive that on hilly terrain!

    • @AbramsExcavating
      @AbramsExcavating 26 дней назад

      @ yea it still leaves a lot to be desired in the braking department! But honestly the whole machine was built very cheap so I wouldnt put it in any hairy situations just cause who knows what other weak link may be lingering!

    they seem like it could be a fun project. adapting it to use the skid steer quick attachment system and more weight on the rear end you may have a real usable mini loader / offload forklift

      Yea I’d have to guess this is a 90s machine. I’ve had a few of these over the years. Still have a smaller one that will fit through a 48” gate and haul 2 ton.
