The Sick Children's Trust

The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that gives families with a seriously ill child in hospital a comfortable place to stay and a friendly ear to listen in one of our ten ‘Homes from Home’.
Hospital can be a lonely and scary place for anyone, but especially a child. By providing families with somewhere to stay together just minutes from their child they have one less thing to worry about.
It costs The Sick Children’s Trust £30 to support a family for one night. £30 gives a family so much more than just a roof over their heads when their child is in hospital. £30 gives them someone to talk to, and a calm place to rest with their family.

Our 40th anniversary appeal
This year The Sick Children’s Trust is celebrating 40 years of keeping families together.
With the help of so many generous supporters, we have helped over 73,000 families since 1982, with a welcoming place to stay when they have really needed it.

We couldn’t have done it without you… In 2021 with your support we helped over 2,000 families with a sick child in hospital to be together. You went over and above to support us and raise much needed funds at what has been a difficult time for everyone. A huge thank you from everyone at The Sick Children’s Trust and all the families that have been supported in our ‘Homes from Home’.

Michael is THE best example of the perfect man, and for me personally, kinda ruined me for all men who cannot OR will not live up to those HIGH standards. Makes for a lonely life, not being able to find such a man. Whoever has his affections is a fortunate female!

Awesome! Michael Crawford really seems like a great person, and he's an amazing performer ofcourse, we all know that.
No substitute for 'being there.' I never knew what a blessing it was living 4 miles from the hospital my mother was being treated in before she passed. But living miles and miles from where your child is?! Parents have enough misplaced guilt not being able to 'take away' these health troubles, but being able to 'snuggle' them as Michael puts it, has to benefit both parent and child. God Bless all connected w/ SCT.

I am so moved by this. Mike is such a lovable person- he realy is a saint. I often compare Mike to Mr Rogers as they have unconditional love for anyone and everybody...angels are out there- and Michael is one of them.
