I prefer white lights too so I use them inside. But I use colored lights outside. For the children lol! When you mentioned looking for something long and tall for the dresser in the dining room, my first thought was a Yule log. Maybe you could DIY one for next year. But use flameless candles, of course. I think you nailed the challenge! Your home looks lovely and Christmassy!

Those little brass deer are adorable! I've been on the hunt for something like them - nice find! Well done working in the things you aren't naturally drawn to. It's a great reminder to those who maybe don't have the budget to buy what they want to make what they've inherited or been given work for them. PS - I'm with you on the boycott glitter train!

An interesting, different and fun video. I hate nutcrackers like some people hate clowns. But sweetie, the tree ornaments are balls, not bulbs. Bulbs are lights.

Great video! I feel ya on working weird stuff into the decor, when you actually have a “vision” in your head. And, lol, I appreciate the nod to your husband with the colored lights. I had a vision this year too. I thought it was all going to work out, until…we got the tree out, and I realized my lights are colors.🥴 But hey! I’m not buying another tree! So, my blue, silver, and gold scheme will just have to work in the colored lights. Maybe next year, I’ll remember…or…maybe not. lol

I love the secretary desk and the colour of the walls so much. All the wood has added warmth. Always liked your style but you can see how much more elevated it’s become with this transformation. I recently did a painting for my sister’s kitchen. She saw one in a style she liked that was going to be expensive so I said I would do it. It incorporates all of the different tones of local blue kitchen ware she has collected for years from local potteries and shows a scene from local countryside. We even made the frame and repurposed a huge canvas from the thrift store I just painted over. She loves it. The wood trim for the farm was the most expensive thing. It’s gotten a lot of compliments from all her visitors and really brings the room together. I love that you mad your own artwork too.

I thought the before was lovely already but the after looks so cosy, I love it!! So glad to see you are feeling better. And for someone who doesn’t think they are artistic… my word girl, that flower art was beautiful!! You should think of selling some of your art like Tina Le and Elise Buch ❤
