Sadly no! I had my invite for masters (7th in one of the last online events) so I was deciding between going to fusion world or masters…by the time I made my mind up FW was sold out! I will be attending next year!

Very impressive, but this happens in sports, any mistake can cost you the game , that’s a very common error that happens in dbs (masters and fusion world) gotta count the life !

I don’t think soul striker is worth talking about in 2024. Personally

I’m not sure the last time I’ve seen it top an event, regardless it’s just my opinion of course; I don’t think the deck is very good.

very important! jiren has to be in rest mode to even get the regen effect; of course its way better when your already awoken. so you can draw as well. sometimes you can use jiren effect at 4 life to take yourself down to 3 and then awaken that way, which will trigger you backside effect, so you wont take damage :)

I don’t think buu near the better defense as taipon, by defense I’m regarding draw power. Buu is very one sided on what it can do defensively; their best defensive card can be played in taipon as well. But we will see! I’m interested to see how LATAM plays with blue , recently they had taipon win their most recent regional , so we will see if it’s still being played

@@KaioKris 1 major advantage is having 1 drop z unison and being able to use trunks floodgate effectively. Sure tapion can use goku/frieza but it messes up it's tempo. Buu can laso draw tons of cards and from what i've been playing , it can keep up with tapion. while applying more pressure. Buu is just harder to sequence properly so not everyone can play the deck efficiently.

Tbh I would include this in the “advise against playing” catagory. Outside of legends and sublett, I don’t think we’ve had any one else in the world win an event with the deck. So if their name is not either of those 2; I wouldn’t be too worried. The deck itself is extremely difficult to play , which is why no one attempts to play it, even legends said it himself, the unison creates more consistency with playing out TOP ; which will allow the deck to function better, you almost have to play perfect in order to deal with the current meta.

@@KaioKris That was my only dislike for sure. Your IQ for the game is high and you do have a great way of explaining situations & sequences that I enjoyed very much. You should dial back on the harsher criticisms. I understand the emotions when watching someone blow a game while in a winning position. Passion gets the best of all of us.

@@KaioKris I wish I could go, but nationals are in Chile and it's kind of expensive to go there. Maybe next year if Nationals are in Mexico.

Hey man your entitled to your opinion, regardless if i think its wrong or not , doesn’t matter to me. But speaking about the game; game was 100% winnable by droids , actually both games were winnable but that’s why some people win and some people lose , it happens.

I think the deck is too counterable with what decks are currently really good . Vegito and kidku (theory) have the ability stop them from awakening, but also can mess up most of their play lines , since everything is either under 25k or 5 cost. I don’t think yellow is in the greatest spot going into this nats. Unless your playing shadow dragons and possibly U7 , generic yellow seems weak; atleast with the above 2 archetypes you have ALOT you can do . I don’t believe goku/gohan has the same pool

deck is very weak to board control and most of it's cards that start the chain are 15-20k so it it's get absolutely destroyed by any red deck. It can also brick very hard.

When it comes to the rainbow gogeta deck, you were able To pitch 2 cards and draw 2 from its leader effect interaction with the skill aegis, it doesn’t work that way anymore. So the deck lost a bit of its cycling which hurts. Considering the deck does not build a huge hand size besides taking damage

SS4 gogeta has a pretty my high ceiling in terms of what it can do, a lot of players and content creators said the deck is bad . Its probably because they can’t pilot the deck well :)

@KaioKris thats exactly what ive been saying lol. Its one of the only decks ive seen that has practically a guaranteed way to kill when ur oponents on 2 or 3 life. The invoker into the extra plus a double striker or a multi attacker just means they loose no matter what unless they somehow combo out wich would mean they loose their whole hand

Mechi has one of the best MU’s against kidku, it’s just way to RNG with the balls in life , unless you cheat I guess lol

It’s really convoluted. I don’t think it’s worth learning how to pilot the deck where nova and U7 are more simple and seem to have better play lines

Surprisingly it has spots where it seems un-killable; if you see nothing but kidku you probably won’t win a game , but generally at early tables you might see a bunch of variety so your basing it on luck at that point.

Soul striker is at a point now where it doesn’t do as much as other blue decks; from the standpoint of progressing game state. The “good” blue decks right now are all archetype based for the most part, tapion, gogeta, buu, etc, as generically good soul striker is, it’s slow awakening plus no archetype cards to help give it an advantage make it unworthy of a spot tbh. Janemba is probably rogue at best, mill Will always be a win con in masters. I’m sure we will see someone playing it within the nationals season

Ahhh sorry! Lol janemba support seems good, I’ve sadly never seen the deck played so I have zero information on it. I know the negate seems to be solid in other blue decks that have excess energy, like soul striker

Of course , yea that would be the down side, still being a 10k always is very important for red , since they generally lack important 10ks later in the game

I haven’t played against much blue or else I would , win or loss tbh. I also don’t play EVERY day, only when I’m recording so the amount of games I have are strict

It’s all perspective. Playing Jiren on 4 and forcing your opponent to play off curve can turn a game on its head. Can’t play a 5 cost card on 4 energy. Of course on 5 energy you would rather play a 5 cost card , but I would suggest opening your playlines to different scenarios. Creates outliers in your game can give you an advantage in situations where your opponent is going through the motions

@@KaioKris i agree to some extent. But if you take into consideration the pan battle card, it has a lot of value once it's out. Perhaps the jiren player thought about that? Who knows. I think he played it well, besides the obvious miss plays like forgetting main skills. Glad he won

@@kevinsofitted that’s why I continuously kept saying I’m sure the grand final nerves were getting to him, but I wanted to point out some errors so players watching might understand the different play lines. I probably would have made similar mistakes in the moment! No ones perfect :)

Not sure what the board state is, but it’s 100% the play because Red has 1 million ways to out a single pan lol for instance, I play jiren on curve which forces the opponent to have the answer. The very next turn at 5 energy with an empty board is god kamaha, into jiren again. Rinse and repeat lol at 6 energy the next turn if the black player had another pan, sphere of destruction, another god kamaha, rumsshi, fuwa, etc… like it’s too many ways at that point to pop one pan and you effectively stopped the black player from playing on curve while establishing board pressure. I didn’t take his criticism as a bad thing as it’s definitely a lesson learned on how to play vs black

Yes I do but in comparison to other ones I guess , being more specific I should say floodgate that’s cost effective, similar to that of every other color . The only reason cooler is worth 3 energy is the body be produces + removal, and it also flood gates. Giving black a 1 drop floodgate with some warp effect would be dangerous , but I feel cooler will be. More dangerous than they might’ve considered
