@@leefminton awesome thanks, what was your reasoning for choosing that racket? And how did you decide on your tension? I'm fairly new and trying to figure all of this out!
Idk who that dude with the Malaysia shirt is, but he’s going at the bottom of my tier list. Terrible teammate 0/10 won’t recommend. If he asks you to play, run.
Nice high jump, however very poor technique. Also your right leg shouldnt be flailing out to the side on a jump smash, it probably means your starting your hip rotation a bit early.
I’m going through the other matches to find the switches. My theory is that getting a switch by doing a lift/clear is easier than a smash/drop. The 3:29 one, we managed to do it off a smash but yeah I agree it looks forced.
@@leefminton Yes agreed, sorry I didn’t fully explain my thought. I’m thinking it’s a 2 step process. First lift into defense and then block/drop the defense shot so that I can move forward. I’ll explain it better in person haha
You look like you came from a basketball background ? That’s the same with me but I started badminton in my late 30s. Check out my RUclips channel to see progress I’ve made What I think would help you the most is learning and practicing basic footwork movements. Let me know if you want any help .

Good game. What's your racket / string + tension?
Thanks! I use nanoflare 800lt. String NS660 Control at 27 lb

It's a really fast racket, and I like to play with a lighter racket to be able to react faster on defense
Omg how did club28 Coatesville come in my RUclips recommended 😂😂 nice playing guys

Frank crazy lift reaction 6:03
Smash move up 5:47
Confident move up on a backhand drive 4:42
Successful switches: 3:29, 5:17
the one at 3:29 was too forced. I'll have to stand further back next time so i can get behind the next shot

@@jamesfromearth We can't switch off a lift or clear though cause we have to play defense. The opponent will smash or drop at us when we do that
