Hi. i am of a Christian background. I have always had a cat. I have 2 cats at the moment. I have a small chihuaha dog that i rescued. She is very sweet & does not bark but my muslim neighbours run away when they see her(?) are dogs disliked in Islam? My dog is very small. Smaller than my 2 cats & is very sweet & quiet.

کیا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس معزہ نامی بلی تھی ؟ سوال کیا رسول اللہ کے پاس معزہ نام کی بلی تھی؟ جواب نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پالتو جانوروں میں گھوڑے، خچر، گدھے،اونٹ، بکری وغیرہ کا ذکر ملتا ہے اور بعض روایات میں مرغے کا بھی ذکر ہے، لیکن کافی تلاش کے باوجود کسی کتاب میں آپ علیہ السلام کے پالتو جانوروں میں بلی کا ذکر نہیں ملا۔ محمد بن یوسف الدمشقی رحمہ اللہ(م:٩٤٢ھ) کی مشہور کتاب سبل الهدى والرشاد في سيرة خير العباد میں ہے: "كان له صلى الله عليه وسلّم سبعة أفراس. وكان له بغال ست وكان له من الحمر اثنان. وكان له من الإبل المعدّة للركوب ثلاثة...وأما غنمه صلى الله عليه وسلّم، فقيل مائة، وقيل سبعة أعنز كانت ترعاها أم أيمن رضي الله تعالى عنها...واقتنى صلى الله عليه وسلّم الديك الأبيض، وكان يبيت معه في البيت". (‌‌جماع أبواب ذكر دوابه ونعمه وغير ذلك مما يذكر، ‌‌باب يذكر فيه خيله وبغاله وحمره- صلى الله عليه وسلم-11/ 421-418)
