I know he's under pressure here, but I think Jake is a horrendous presenter and this clip confirms it. Not only does he bring the Glen Hoddle stuff back in, as if he needs some smooth 'link' to more bad (but completely unrelated) news, but he has a go at trying to address the comments they were making prior to the helicopters take off. No one thought anything of those comments, but he's more concerned with covering his own arse than just focusing on the incident and expressing concern for the victims. There's loads of clips where he's blatantly condescending and rude, but this one, although subtle, reveals a lot about his character I think.

Avoid helicopters at night travel, too dodgy in the dark, unlike a plane that takes off & soars up high. Copters have to be careful of cables dangling about & at night, in the rain it will catch you out.

It’s strange I have always been a little psychic. In the Docklands bomb I was 200 yards away in a floating wine bar I was supposed to catch a train when the bomb went off at the station instead I was under the wine bar in the toilet when the wine bar was blow away by the bomb. The only thing left was my freshly poured pint. When working in Indonesia I lived at the Ritz Carlton. I suddenly had very bad feelings about the hotel. I moved to another hotel shortly before a suicidal squad attacked the hotel and destroyed it with explosives packs. A few months before the helicopter went down I walked around the Leicester City ground doing research for a website. Whilst I was there the helicopter actually came in and landed. I had such a bad feeling about it I was actually tempted to contact the club. I thought about it but realised it would simply cause too much trouble. I was not surprised when the helicopter crashed.
