Everyone’s is going to be different, some amazing s one awful, there will be those who have the worst experience but still return next burn, because of the depth of the lesson they learned from that experience. Did you not get freaked out by all the occult/satanic symbols displayed everywhere? Along with occult/demonic practices. Its like a mockery of God. Its crazy to see how in your face it is and people are so dusted up they see it as a form of salvation or rebirth, this is just a bad copy job by satan to impersonate the eternal salvation, peace and love of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

    • @amansmemories
      @amansmemories 18 дней назад

      Hey Fiddestix, Thanks for watching and your opinion. To be honest, I am also a Christian and had concerns about an effigy being burned etc. The reality of actually having been there is this: People practice what they know. I am not there to evangelize or cast judgment. Jesus told us “Do not judge, so that you will not be judged. For with the judgment you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get.” (Matthew 7:1-2) He also said, "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you" (John 15:12-13). So my job is to love people and I will leave the judgement to god himself. I experienced an outpour of love at Burning Man. I will leave at that.

    • @fiddlestix6468
      @fiddlestix6468 17 дней назад

      @amansmemories thanks for your reply. But the outpouring of love, was it real, or only in that moment because everyone was high and had no worries and had their sensory system overloaded? I am questioning the spirit behind the festival, which is very different from judgment. The Bible gives us ample description of how the devil works and tricks people. Jesus warns us that satan himself appears as an angel of light, we know that the world of demonic influence is wrapped up in sexual perversion, substance abuse, ego, and idolatry. It seems like a melting pot of these things. Just so many symbols of the occult/new age/idolatry. I used to go to a lot of festivals but I became very aware of certain times when the energy of the event would turn dark. Since my walk with Christ, I have received discernment and we need to be careful. Things are not as they appear to be and you have to be careful. Test all the spirits and if they do not declare that Jesus is the Son of God, you are dealing with the spirit of the antichrist. True freedom and creativity lie in the salvation of Christ. You have to ask yourself, was that outpouring of love, real or an illusion? If you get into some major trauma, would these people stand by you? Or only when you are on the Playa with another name. The whole thing has so many upside-down connections to the message of Christ and when this normally happens it's because the great deceiver is at work. Anyway, God bless you on your journey 🙏

    So basically, it's just another overpriced and glorified EDM club, with crappy music, but you get a carnival light show and a bunch of juvenile art. Though, some of the art cars are cool. It was probably a cool genuine event when it first started, before it congealed into what it appears to be now. No thanks, just another event for drugged out hippies, hipsters and pretty people. I'd just spend my time out on the edges away from everything, which would be even better when there aren't 70k people there, and you could at least enjoy the stars. Radical inclusion my ass.

    I'm sure there are some cool things there, and it was probably awesome in the past before it became popularized, but mostly it looks like a bunch of bad art and crappy club kid music blaring 24/7--that only caters the clubbing/DJ crowd. No thanks. Though, I would have loved to be a fly on the wall at that "what it means to be a man" workshop. I'd guess it was about further emasculating and feminizing men--like every workshop about "men's issues". Because you can't have men talking about being men, unless it's through some pre-approved feminist lens.

    To clarify, the burning of the "man shaped figure" is an effigy. When Larry Harvey, the founder of Burning Man, started this ceremony in the mid-90's on Baker Beach (San Francisco) he made a figure and attached notes of the things he wished to release and let go. He burned the effigy and it symbolized the release of his past self and the opportunity to start anew. Many burners view the burning of the man ceremony as "the new year". The "fuck your burn" statement (as much as I dislike it) is said to mean, "I'm having my own experience, you have yours... don't impose your experience on me". Kind of like saying- "have your own experience" in an odd way. Thanks for sharing your experience, you shared really good information. - dusty (my real name, not just playa name): 16x burner, artist, and builder

      I took an 18 year break from the playa until 2023. Hearing "fuck your burn" was strange to me. After enough people said it I understood the culture behind it but actually liked it even less. My first year was '96, last year of no rules, bm has really grown into a gifting phenomena. There are a few spectators now but they leave compelled to bring something to the playa next year and take lessons from the playa into real life. Props Larry. I know you're in the desert still. . .

      Fuck yer burn is a phrase which, if you use it, you know. Like, if you know, you know. If you don’t, it’s not offensive against anyone, you can let it go. This coming from someone who’s camp motto is “If you die, we split your gear.” Again, it isn’t meant as a burn. It’s apocalyptic. There is all the great love for our people! Friends, lovers, burners, etc. Fuck the man.

I enjoyed seeing the burn through your eyes. I think the media and other factors don't want too many people experiencing things that alter how one thinks about how life is lived/experienced.
