Serious question Mike. I just came home from a Medicare Insurance meeting and he was telling me if you are on traditional Medicare (plan G, N) that they pay up to 50k towards overseas health care. You seem to know your shit about this stuff so I’m wondering what I am missing here. Why wouldn’t an expat have a plan G or N plan? Hope you see this message and can explain this to me.

I am a member in good standing of the 4 F Club . Find them feel them F_ _ K them and forget them. I never dated the same girl more than two times . No, I never do pay for play, stay out of bars clubs Walking Street, and far away from freelancers. The only rule I have is no smartphone . If they use it for even 1 nanosecond, I will get up find the waitress pay for the meal, and disappear. Anything after the meal is up to them. Usually 8 out of ten will come back to my place . And there again I remind them that I will never see them again but even after that they want to take it to the next level and move things to the bed from where I would never ever put any sexual demands on them . I am always up front with the women I meet. I tell them that ANY relationship is temporary and ends when I go back to Florida I have absolutely no interest in marriage or anything longer than the 5 months, 3 weeks that I stay here. 7/10 times, the women here end the date as soon as they hear that. 2/10 hang around for a date or two and some sex before they realize that I am not their or their families' ATM. That last woman stays the 6 months, ends the relationship on high note, and moves on to the next guy. Most Filipinas are starfishes in bed and have to be taught..... "things". Single and free keeps my money near me. Seen way too many horrible marriages during my 20 year Navy career to ever get married. When you die, you die alone, it is a solo occurrence for you. I agree with you on this. One should be honest with one's self first of all. Most expats aren't. Be honest with yourself about your own failures, traumas, and your personality disorders. If you can do that, you can be honest with a potential mate. If she doesn't accept well, move on to the next one. Maybe you may come to realize that you're not ready or even able to get involved with someone because of your issues, and that's ok too as long as you are honest with yourself and can accept who you are. How coincidental, I just came off a car show room but it happens to be lexus and just got myself a hybrid NX 350h. In Singapore, the prices are crazy with a list price of $352K. S$ to pesos is around 43.85.

The Marquee Toyota dealership is only about 200 meters from a couple of my Wife's siblings and their family. We were at the San Fernando Toyota dealership a couple of weeks ago (long story involving me trying to teach my Wife to drive), and they had the Corolla Cross and Fortuner there. But I've been looking at the MG G50 plus (P1.288M!) to replace my 2018 Honda BRV... after we get the front end fixed (remember me saying I tried teaching my Wife to drive?😂). We were on the river road a week ago, going to my in-law's house. Comes up on Pandan road. That's the road we usually take to the mall, or in-law's. I never knew what the huge building was along there. Thanks Mike and Arlyn for clearing up the mystery! 👍

I drive on the Abacan River Road often. It’s much faster getting to Marquee Mall, Landers and the NLEX from Hensonville. It’s supposed to eventually go to Friendship Highway.

Fortunately, I have a car and driver on call for my 6 months out of the year i spend here. I pay him 500$ a month. He calls me at 7 am every day and asks if I need to go anywhere. I usually go out about 3x a week, so it is worth the money. If I do not go out that day, he does GRAB calls. I have no problem driving in the US, but me trying to drive in Cebu is a fresh level of Hell for me. BTW, I set the price, not him. If I am over paying, so be it. It is worth every penny. I was stuck at Mango Square at midnight w/out a taxi in sight, my driver came and picked me up and acted like he saved my life. Very nice person to have as a driver.

For me, also because I have a very slight vision problem, I will NEVER EVR want to drive in the Philippines. When an expat is involved in an accident, especially when it's your fault, but also when it's not your fault, it's a great potential for a messy situation and money squeezing. It's way cheaper and very very convenient to hire a Filipino driver with a car for long day of driving. The driver helps with carrying things. For shorter drives, Grab. Anywhere in the world, a car is a huge expense, depreciate a lot in value, pay for parking, insurance, maintenance, cleaning, etc.

I never buy anything from the dealership unless it is a dealer item only. Brakes, battery, wipers, lights and many other things are always bought elsewhere, for much less.

Its left over from when the air force was there decades ago. I was stationed in Subic in the 80s, been to Angeles City dozens of times. It's the red light district. You know what it is. Probably way more expensive now.

I like this driving video. I have just seen bike driving videos. I will have to look on your old videos to see if you have more. Interesting facts I have discovered along the years: 1. Many expats are running FROM, not going TO, something. 2. Expats often know more about the country they are looking at than their own country (as you speak on in the video) 3. The majority of single expats falsely believe that living in a country that has a lower standard of living or is rated as 'more affordable' will always be so even if they want to maintain a US lifestyle. 4. Single older men, and especially those going to SE Asia, want the world to believe that they are not going abroad to hopefully hook-up with a 20yo in Manila or Bangkok; they 'just like the weather'...lol 5. If you are over 50 and single, it will probably end badly. 6. The age of consent (PI shamefully has lowest in the world) and number of male sex offenders moving or attempting to move into this region is directly related.

Walking st has been constantly under renovation in one form or another as long as I've known since my first visit in 2004. Who remembers all those moulds lying around for the round decrotive design they laid several yrs ago. They were crumbling apart as they laid them. Complete disaster

We are far away from the problems of Walking street. There are suppose to be girly bars somewhere around here, but I have never been in them. I first came to AC back in 1997 and it was pretty run down them. It seems that there are always sidewalks and walking street being torn up and forever repairs being made. I do miss the old days there. My 2 favorite Bars were the Welcome Inn and Treasure Island.

Gee Mike, you released this video at 5am? 😲 Even though I have to pass Walking Street/Fields Ave, I have never felt the desire to go there. Either from MacArthur or Don Juico St. As far as I can see, it's hazardous with the construction, and not so safe from the people working there. Hopefully some day someone will close that cesspool down?

Good time of day there! I enjoy your content. I went there and I agree. Big like on your comments👍 Walking street is an absolute $h!th0l3 for many reasons - not just the construction. To confirm CB Media observations the girls in the bars vary from uninterested bored to completely afraid. The food is mediocre and the service is cr@p. The whole place caters to scammers and Koreans - and I have nothing against Koreans. All of the prices to include trikes - even walking out several blocks were higher than many guides suggest. Full of rubble, holes, and hazards I would not feel safe walking there in the dark. Went to Barrio Barretto for a break and that was worse - piles of trash on the "sidewalks", even more desperate scammers, and feeling they don't like Americans - not even as marks. I do love the Philippines and there are many nice places like BGC & Cebu. I hope clark global city develops into something great. Looking to Thailand for my next holiday to get the bad taste out of my mouth.
