Cinematic FPV | Showreel 2024
It has been an incredible two years of flying FPV! Here are a few of my favorite shots from all over the world. Countries include: Italy, Vietnam, Indonesia, Mexico, and the United States (Los Angeles, Hawaii, Moab, Miami, Wyoming, and Lake Tahoe).
There are so many core memories connected to these shots, and the end result is a two-minute video after going through hours of footage and editing.
Thanks to everyone who has been involved in this journey.

@ damn that’s crazy good quality from the O3! I’ve never recorded with it before, I’ve only used GoPro’s but might try out the new O4 if I can get the right 3D mounted parts for my old quads. Plus I have to get new goggles since I’m rocking the V2’s and it does not look like DJI will be providing a firmware update for backwards compatibility 🤦♂️ If I’m ever in Greece I’ll hit you up! I do a fair amount of international travel and am always looking for some pilots to cruise with 🫡

@ hope for you too. I’m breaking into the game. Headed to Thailand in 6 weeks. I’m sad to hear that ice bridge in Iceland broke.. but there’s still epic shots to be had.
@ good stuff! Thailand is on the bucket list for sure. Be sure to check out Thailand drone laws. I haven’t flown there yet but remember reading you might need a permit. I’ve heard horror stories of drones getting confiscated at the airport…

@ lol that is a good question… when the drone is hovering and doing basic orbits it does not produce too much noise. It was pretty windy that day too, so perhaps a combination of high ambient noise and low propeller noise didn’t spook them too much 🤷♂️

I appreciate brother! After countless crashes, seek and retrieve missions from drones lost in rice fields, forests, mountains, etc., I can say its been absolutely worth it for the core memories created. Although walking up and down a rice field in Bali for eight hours kind of sucked 😂
@ I actually know EXACTLY what you mean. Some of my best memories from the last year involve destroying a drone unfortunately. Sidenote I find the Avata 2 particularly rewarding to crash because it’s such a bad ass that it comes up without a scratch 95% of the time
@ I haven’t flown the Avata (1 or 2) but have heard good things. I’ve got a few drones I’ve built that have helped a lot. I started buying RTF drones and quickly learned how to repair basically every component, and then realized it’s easier / cheaper to just build your own. A steep learning curve but valuable skills when the next inevitable crash comes 🤦
@ it’s funny you say that because right when I first saw FPV video and started googling how the hell to do it, I spent pretty much the next eight hours researching and learning how hard it would be to learn all that build your own stuff and immediately said “this is way too much for me“… One month later to the day DJI dropped their RTF Avata and first flight I took, it was a match made in heaven. I’d recommend the hell out of the 2 if you end up being in the market
Maybe, next drone I build will definitely have the new O4 air unit 🤤

This is by far the best travel film I have seen of Florence! It is very impressive how you captured the city through so many different lenses, and I have never seen drone shots of the Duomo like that before!! Bravo 👏
I really appreciate it! Florence is such a beautiful city. Inspiring to walk the same streets that many famous artists once lived. Firenze is truly timeless and elegant 🇮🇹

well I love boston so much. Is this normal?. I love the accent, the people, sports aficionado's. educated. My father took me to Boston in 1950's from Lowell. Have (had accent). It is America's beat city. I am fascinated by the dislikers for some reason.

some of these shoots seem awfully close to that desert bighorn closure area west of the Potash mine. I would be careful and respectful of that area if I were doing something like this. I mean, yes these shots are very pretty, but drones also spook wildlife.
@@moriscondo5511 thanks for your comment. All flights conducted were outside the boundaries of any national and state parks as they only allow drones during certain times of the year (Nov. to Feb.). I contacted multiple park managers, including Arches and Dead Horse (west of Potash), and let them know about my proposed flight coordinates. All parties agreed that my flight plans were in accordance with state and local laws. I understand your concern and share the same feeling about unauthorized or even illegal flights!
Wow, loved it since I've been to many of those places (flying a mini 2). I just picked up a mini 4 pro and the Avata 2 FPV. How do you not lose signal to the drone in some of those shots? (thinking Fisher Towers when you are deeper in those canyons). Utah is full of amazing places to fly FPV. Kudos!
@@peak.moments.photography I appreciate it! In general if you can maintain VLOS, loss of signal isn’t an issue. It also helps that there is very little other interference in Moab, so usually your quad and RX / VTX signals are the only ones being transmitted. Flying in the canyons specifically, I made sure I was either in VLOS or at least standing above where the quad was flying. The signal would sometimes drop from 50mbps to like 10-15mbps for a second or two, but there was never a complete video loss… just some lag

Wyoming is not that impressive at all. 99% of the state is flatter than a pancake almost.
I don’t know, it was pretty mountainous where I was. Northwestern part of the country has some amazing landscapes ⛰️
