As I’m using it more and more, you’re absolutely right! It is still more effort and more work to get the exposure right and to do some of the little things but overall much easier than initially expected. I will make a followup video in a month or so detailing my experience as someone who shoots minimal and in the moment!
welcome to the gang lol. heard it's better than my OG Komodo, that price drop made it more worth it for sure. I bought my OG for 6 when it firs dropped.
i think it’s a lateral move between the two! The X just addresses some of the issues with the OG and adds some more frame rates. It is nice to be able to wirelessly control from my phone though!
@@happynotsaad yeah, framerates, locking RF mount, V-lock battery receptacle, faster screen readout, better autofocus, drop free /smoother phone app, cf express B cards instead of slower more expensive cfast, audio input, multi-I/O port (time code / genlock), pogo pins for DSMC3 monitor w/cam control etc.
@@happynotsaad facts, I wouldn't get it from a Komodo owner but if I didn't have one it's an easy choice. only thing that sucks about Komodo and it may be a 'red issue' is the boot up time and menus lol. shit is slow, I have a z cam f6 as well. I'm looking at an ursa cine as the next step up or an old monstro. for most stuff the Komodo work though, only other real con is lack of frame rates but it's expected at that price point from red
