As a mello player i always complain and go "why dont they just give this to the trumpets". Then its "we're the only ones who CAN".

as a former trumpet player who switched to mello(and horn)mello is the best

This is from near the end of the second movement of Cadets 1998 show “Stonehenge.” The color guard is in the back right corner of the field playing with all the different colored flags,then the silent drill, then the horn line comes back in with the mellophone playing those crazy licks.
