As you can tell, I like railroading. Have allot of other interests, such as music. Rock & roll, pop and easy listening from the 50s to the present. Favorite era is the 70s. ELO is favorite group of all times. Like football mostly the NFL. And like airplanes. Finally love the outdoors, live by the Gulf of Mexico. Life is good.

OMG, he was pretty late to go into emergency, and the guy said his heart was beating fast. My heart already does that when a train goes into emergency. If I see a train derail like that, I might just have a heart attack at that point (just kidding).
Very enjoyable switching video.
Convincing audio.
All Soundtraxx, Thanks for taking a look and listen.
Great switching action! Many thanks for sharing.
Glad you liked it, thanks for taking the time to look.
Might want to work on your spelling.
LOL Do I have to. What did I misspell? I used spell check.
Nice smooth Ops 👍🏽…
Thanks watching
these backdrop s look great back drop ware house ?
Great video. Sound was great also
Thanks for looking
thanks for this ops. one question, what did you used on you ground throw stopper
Piano wire bent with needle nose pliers.
@@cnwtrain thanks great idea
For ma i used colored pins that i got on watching Burr stuart video.
I like your layout-very nice detail.
Thanks, appreciate it.
Great video, the crew will be ready to go for beans now, LOL!!! I seen Mike's comment here, you'll have to throw on a Rock Island unit for him!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
The Rock Island was gone by my era. But I have some RI rolling stock on the layout.
@cnwtrain I have a single Rock Island GP38-2 in the Blue and White paint scheme I weathered the crap out of to run in my Conrail consist, I also snatched up a couple of Death Star SD40-2S Athearns in Illinois Central Livery at the Great Train Show in Indianapolis about 12 years ago just to run some variety in my mid 80s Conrail layout at the time before I had to tear it down!!! Looking forward to the next switching video!!!
Very nice video of industry switching in Marshalltown. I enjoyed the information regarding the naming of some of the industries. Mike
What's up Mike, awesome seeing your comment here, loved your last ops video too!!!
Thanks Mike.
Yay your back!!!! Missed seeing you post vids
Fantastic layout !
Well, I thank you for taking a look.
I had no idea your layout is so big! I can't imagine the amount of work you have put into it. I've a question for you. The sound effects you put into the video: Do you have a pure clip of the "clunk clunk" of the wheels? I have an idea I'm working on but can't seem to find a recording of just the wheels. If so, and you are willing, can we find a way to get it?
The sounds I have recorded from various train videos on RUclips. I just make sound clips out of them and edit and piece them in my videos. Nothing complicated.
Awesome 👍😎👍
Thanks for looking
That is some of the smoothest rolling trains I've seen! No bunching up, no yo-yo caboose, no stuttering low speed. Excellent!
One thing I don't like is unruly locos and cars. I make sure locos run smooth and cars have round wheels. And nothing enters the layout without being checked and weathered, Thanks for your comment.
Great video and the dubbed in sound really adds to the quality. Excellent scene shots and very nice rolling stock. Well done! Mike
Thanks Mike.
Bravo Sir! Another nicely done video.
Thank you. Any updates in the works for you?
@@cnwtrain I really do need to do something. Been at the Archives every weekend. Hoping to get settled back into the basement in the next month or so. But in the meantime I am enjoying your hard work!
Excellent video of yours as always 👍
Thank you, appreciate it.
I really like your layout. It just seems so nicely done, good track work, and a blast to operate. Nice video, and nice modeling.
Thanks for the good words, and taking a look.
Very Cool!!!
Thanks.
@cnwtrain I always loved the paint scheme of the C&NW, I have a few GP40-2S I use to mingle in with my Conrail units!!! Now I'm going from HO to N I'm going to aquire a few more!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
@@conrailfan6277 I got some Conrail I will be putting decoders in here soon. Consist them up with the CNW units.
@@cnwtrain Pool units are always cool to see, I'm looking forward to seeing that lashup!!!
What caused the train to derail?
Broken rail
That was very enjoyable - thanks for sharing!
That was another nice watch! Cool switching ops by that local. Keep those videos coming, they are really relaxing 🙂
I finally found this! Great Childhood memories This is what got me interested in trains!
What kits did you use for your Farnhamville elevator? Looks like Walthers, but kitbashed?
Actually, that main elevator is mostly scratch built. PVC pipe and some sheet styrene. I think the door side and the unloading house is from the Wathers kit.
@@cnwtrain Looks good!
great job....looks great.
Weathering looks great!

Nice job. Accurail makes a pretty nice car
It is a good car, and reasonably priced.
Great job! Looks nice.
Thanks
Man that switching op kept you busy! Layout looks phenomenal, and you run it like a pro.
Yepper, I think total time on that ops session was about 1hour and twenty- five minutes.
Awesome video. Great detail and awesome lighting on your layout
Hey, thanks for taking the time to look.
Very nice, love the details!
You are the man when it comes to structures. I admire your work.
@@cnwtrain Thank you!
Very nice. Just subbed, great looking layout!
Thanks for the sub, and the good words.
Such awesome detail. Great job! Looks very realistic.
Thanks appreciate it.
Your lighting is good. Not overwhelming and fits your scene.
Thanks for you comment.
Wow.

Awesome session. I really like switching.
Me too.
Excellent Ops and your scenery is phenomenal!!
Thanks for giving a look.
@@cnwtrain I really enjoy your ops, is there a link to part 3?
@@stephenjohnson26 Thanks. Part 3 is not posted yet.
@@cnwtrain I’m looking forward to it
That train crashed right in front of them, and it wasn't going that fast.
When you say you paint the paper white. Like in the software? Or you actually paint it white? Do you put one coat on the paper and let it sit for a few days? I am verify interested in this process
I actually give a piece of the decal paper a light coat of white spray paint. Krylon paint works the best and use gloss. Let it dry for a day or two so that it is not tacky at all. Otherwise it will smear in the printing process. I use a laser printer, and they heat the paper up much more than an ink jet. So, a very dry decal paper is important. Hope that helps you.
Turn down tthe sound on the locks, very disturbing
Okay, but sober up. I'm watching tropical storm Debby.
Grain season!
LOL. Always grain season on my railroad.
Great switching.
I don't know if it was great, But I like doing it. Thanks
Nicely done!
Thanks for taking a look.
