I would consider cure mermaid. I saw a monster that dealt burn damage when she gained life points. And without a way to gain LP outside of maybe a spell card or 2 its a useless effect.

And then you look at the anime and you wonder how Rafael managed to beat Yugi and have the advantage for most of their duels. In the anime he always had an answer to Yugi's attacks. My favorite card of his was Guardian Formation, in the anime it moved a targeted Guardian to the backrow and negated the attack.

What about adding Red Eyes Black Dragon to Serenity's deck? I can see her using it because it's Joey's ace. It probably doesn't fit her theme but her using her bro's card doesn't sound bad.

I think Serenity needs a rematch off-camera to rework her deck a bit. She needs a surefire theme, maybe watch the anime where she duels with Tristan and Duke a bit. Build around the cards she's chosen.

The trash talk would be high in this. Chazz better watch out for Injection Fairy Lilly. Chazz could get the advantage if he can get Ojama King or Knight out quick. we know how devastating she can be with Injecrion Fairy Lilly, Fire Maiden paired with Cure Mermaid, Shining angel Joan or Darkload Marie/Marie the Fallen one. Ojama Duo and Trio to try and get the jump was a nice try but Becca used token thanksgiving to clear her field; because of how Token Thanksgiving works- inflicting life point damage to opponent (normally) and then getting her own life points back in the process. There were a few times in the second match where I thought Chazz had it but Becca managed to get out of it and win.

Always wondered how Serenity could have done in Duelist Kingdom. Glad to see her finally getting a chance to shine

It seems like Tania’s early Battle City duels are going to be easy for her. But only dueling will let us know for sure And as far as the Switches not working right, the button contacts inside the joycons are probably worn out or need to be cleaned. Amazon is deck seems to just be too overpowered for any of the better city decks it's year of construction cards that are in it are just power creeped out of all decks from Battle City

About the part of GX decks evolving: I'm not sure any of them really got stronger. Zane switching from Cyber to Cyberdark was just bad. Jaden switching from E-Hero to Neo-Spacian I can't really rate, but does not feel better overall. Chazz is always gonna Chazz it up, making 3 different archetypes work in one deck is a lot tbh ❤

If you want to do a non-Ojama Chazz deck, maybe look up his Manga deck. Seems that he has a mostly dragon deck there. Also the Alphabet monsters may be fun for Chazz, he used all from V to Z I think

Chazz’s deck had a lot of advantages over Jaden’s earlier in Season One

Chazz and Jaden, they started off as rivals with Chazz wanting to beat the Slyfer Slacker. But they do become allies of sorts. The Ojama are underrated and can be very good when used right, but they probably wouldn’t do well against Battle City. Chaz’s BC deck will need to be a pre Ojama deck. But Ojama Pajama, Ojama Party along with King and Knight can make things difficult for a Jaden since it takes away the moster spots he needs to get certain fusions out.

Amazoness monsters don’t need Monster Reborn 😅. They’re just that strong with their own staple cards

Also the season 1 arc was Shadow Riders. I remember Nightshroud and his Red Eyes Deck.

To explain “Butterfly Dagger” being banned, the reason is it combos too well with two other cards: “Gearfried” and “Royal Magical Library”. Butterfly Dagger returns itself to the hand upon being destroyed, and gearfried destroys any equip spell placed on it, thus you can use Butterfly Dagger an unlimitted number of times in a turn. Royal Magical Library lets you draw a card after three spells are activated, and with how unlimitted Butterfly Dagger could be activated on Gearfried, it means you could draw through your entire deck on turn three or even turn one.

Cure mermaid is a 4 star monster, gravity bind affects all monsters regardless of which player it belongs to

Hey, great video again! Have you ever been thinking about making a Battle city format with only GX characters? Yea, it is not their timeline or format but GX doesn’t have such tournaments like 5DS and Dueling monsters. It will be interesting for sure 👌 Imagine a tournament with Jaden, Zane, Aster, Jesse, Surus, Tyrano, Alexis, Chazz, Bastian, Chumly, Adrian, Jim, Sartoriois, Crower, Viper, Yubel . Think about it man, it will rock 🤘

When the players are this close in deck strength and have both had a dedicated arc on the channel, I like the 7 game format. I think if you want to extend time a little bit, then best of 5 would be great.

Basically everyone beats strings, but we shall see how well the Amazons do against Bakura, Yugi, Kiba and Arkana. Seeker with his tendency to camp could possibly be a bit of a pain for the Amazoness.

3 to 5 matches it probably the best amount. Best two of three or best three of five. Becca is good and we know what injection fairy can do but it does have its limitations. Jaden forced her to use the ability till she was unable to because of the cost then took wins by using monsters that would drain the rest of her life points.

I don’t recall Alexis beating Jaden in the anime with the two times they dueled. Although the second time was when Alexis was part of Satorius’s Society of Light and Jaden needed to win in order to free Alexis from that control. The Society of Light deck has White Night cards and White Vale. Her standard decks were cyber girl (blader, E’toile Cyber, Cyber Prima, Prima Light) and Cyber Angle (various Cyber Angel cards and fusion destruction). A 40 card deck would probably have cards from both standered decks and maybe some of her White Night cards.
